College Fjord and Formal Night

Hi,

I'm sailing on the Sapphire princess this august. It has been reported that the 2nd formal night is scheduled the same day we are in College Fjord. However, we're in College Fjord from 5:30-8:30. How does that work for dining? I'm assuming early diners miss most of the viewing? We have late dining but will still need to run in to change before dinner.

Isn't College Fjord the last night of the cruise? If so, I doubt that will be formal night.

Formal night will be Glacier Bay. The ship is scheduled to leave Glacier Bay at 3pm so this is the likely formal night.

Pam is correct. Formal night is for sure Glacier Bay day. College Fjord does conflict with normal dining times, BUT we love having dinner by the window overlooking the glaciers and icebergs as we sail by. Happy cruising!

Southbound, formal night was Hubbard Glacier night and we were right in front of the glacier at 5:30 (for some reason, all early dining on the Sapphire was at 5:30).

We did NB Sapphire in May. For the first time, we decided to skip all the formal nights. We did eat in the steakhouse and there are great view from there. Just because the "glacier" visit is over, there is so much great scenery it is worth the $20 each to get a great meal and quiet view!
