cathydev Posted July 4, 2013 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2013 I am making dinner reservations at Chops and Giovanni's Table and would like to know how long to plan on being at the restaurants for the meal service.
Cruising89143 Posted July 4, 2013 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2013 It really depends on you but safe to say about two hours to enjoy your meal.
Clarea Posted July 4, 2013 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2013 Also, if you have time contraints, make it clear to your server up front. They aim to please.
Zigggypup Posted July 4, 2013 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2013 I would go on a night that you could just relax and enjoy the venue. If you are in a rush that kind of spoils the meal.
bmac1 Posted July 4, 2013 #5 Share Posted July 4, 2013 As long as you want. relax and enjoy.
cjdixon4 Posted July 5, 2013 #6 Share Posted July 5, 2013 DH and I ate at Chops on Enchantment back in May. I strongly suggest that you go without time constraints. The staff is soooo friendly and accomodating, and they provided a wonderful meal experience. We took about an hour and a half to complete every course from appetizer through dessert. We sat by a window and watched the world go by...it was really a great night! :)
Rare hcat Posted July 5, 2013 #7 Share Posted July 5, 2013 we are booked for both on our upcoming cruise in Sept.. we plan to enjoy the meal & not rush through..
CRUISEFAN0001 Posted July 5, 2013 #8 Share Posted July 5, 2013 It really depends on you but safe to say about two hours to enjoy your meal. We were going to say about 1 1/2 to 2 hours on average. Not something you want to rush...but still respectful of other reservations.
Rare S.A.M.J.R. Posted July 5, 2013 #9 Share Posted July 5, 2013 If you budget two hours, you should have no problems. We ate at both on Oasis. Even at 150 Central Park, we budgeted two hours and never felt rushed.

Cruising89143 Posted July 5, 2013 #12 Share Posted July 5, 2013 Going on Oasis, which restaurant did you like most and why or what does each type serve? Giovanni's is my favorite. A casual place to eat with very good food. Go hungry. Well worth the charge. Chops is my second favorite specialty restaurant.
OCruisers Posted July 5, 2013 #13 Share Posted July 5, 2013 On Oasis we had dinner at Giovanni's, Chops, and 150 Central Park. Totally enjoyed all three. Loved Giovanni's so had dinner there three nights! In each it took about two hours which was fine with us since we were in no hurry. :) LuLu ~~~~
cjdixon4 Posted July 5, 2013 #14 Share Posted July 5, 2013 I also want to mention that the portions are huge. It really is not in anyone's best interest to rush that meal...there is SO much food to enjoy in each course. Take your time and savor every bite ;)
TEXASMUNK Posted July 5, 2013 #15 Share Posted July 5, 2013 I urge you to ask for small portions of things you have never had before! The entire menu is truly great! We have formed the BAD habit of spending many evenings there...Thought we would miss Portofino, but Giovanni can wow you!!!!!
RCI Cruisers 004 Posted July 5, 2013 #16 Share Posted July 5, 2013 I think it said on the day planner to allow 2 hrs for your meals ! There is never a rush nd I think most of the times we have eaten there it was just over 2 hrs....and we'll worth it !
