Smokestacks Coming Down

FLL is demolishing the power plant smokestacks on 7/16. It will be carried on the FLL webcam.

 

I'll miss seeing them. I'm sure the airline pilots won't.

They are part of the landscape.

I always look for them from our hotel balcony at Pier 66.....

That's a Tuesday, no cruise ships in port that day. EM

Almost no ships in Port Everglades for the summer.

 

Allure and Oasis on Saturday and Sunday.

One Carnival ship and maybe one or two others.

We spent 8 or 9 days in FLL last August and saw almost no ships the whole time.

Way too early for some of us on Eastern time, too. I have managed to forget there's a 6:45 in the morning, and I don't care to relearn about it. ;)
