We all went back to the room and relaxed for a little while. Sarah wanted to see the last show, so she got ready to head to to Theater. When she came out she started Browsing through the TV and noticed that they stream the show live. So she decided to see it in the TV instead. I watched parts of it, but honestly is the same as any other show, singing, dancing, stages, etc. You know by now that I really could care less about shows, maybe on a longer cruise. But honestly I think I rather be watching something like "Planes" or "Monsters University". It is really odd, I am not entirely sure why I dislike shows so much. Possibly all the singing, I can't do musical movies either. I do however enjoy live comedy shows, specially the rated R ones :D.

Anyway I guess at some point either before or after Sarah watched the Show. I got a video of the TV system aboard the Disney Dream, their movie selection is incredible!

Here it is,

I'm with ya, I very much dislike musicals and shows that resemble such. Closest thing to that type of show that I like is the ice skating show on RCCL.

Shows 9/10

{ "At times I think I should stop reviewing shows since I never see them. But then again as long as I have my mom to review them for me I think I am fine. Both my mom and Sarah said that their shows were extremely well done, from the costumes to the change of sets every so often. I will take it from them that the shows were better than the breakaway, I am not sure why I gave the breakaway 8/10 (it should be less). But I did, so it is far to put Disney a notch above at 9/10." }

]Rock Of Ages on NCL Breakaway was the best show I have ever seen on a cruise 10/10.

Thanks for another great review. I'll be on the Allure in November and, even though I've been on it before, I'll go back and reread your review. I know there were things I missed and that review was great. Besides, if you aren't cruising soon, the Allure review will give me a Gambee fix!

Hold the phone! I'm on page 12 of the review, forcing myself to make it last (like a great vacation). And what does one of the pictures appear to be? A fully-stocked liquor store! Am I crazy, or is that unusual for a cruise ship?

More excited than ever about my cruise! Lol

I'm sad that your review is over.:( But it has made me even more excited about our next Dream cruise (our fifth), only two months away. For your next cruise, I definitely vote for you to take your mom on the Fantasy, and book Palo for brunch! Sometimes, you can find a great price. We recently saw an amazing deal for early October, but on a weekend when we have a previous commitment. So we continue to look. It looks like have persuaded some other CC members to give the Dream serious consideration though.

I hope that you and your mom continue to cruise, and look forward to the next epic Gambee review!

Gambee, thank you very much for an awesome review. It has brought back great memories of our previous cruises on Disney Dream, and has me very excited for our upcoming cruise on the Disney Fantasy! I hope you and your Mom get to go on a Fantasy cruise yourselves real soon. I'll be anxiously waiting for that review! :D

Thanks again, Gambee for a wonderful in-depth review of the Disney Dream! Too bad it was such a short one, but you never know, a 7-day'r could be in your future. I thank you for the hours of "wishing I were there" and of course, your wonderful photos!

So sorry to read about your beloved Milo. Your heart will ache for a very long time, but this is normal and will get better over time. Hugs to you.

Most, if not all cruise ships have liquor stores. They don't let you bring your purchases back to your cabin. They'll deliver them to you the last night of the cruise.

I LOVED your review Gambee! I think your reviews have to be some of the best that I've read over here on CC. I have been reading your Allure review also and was curious if you rated certain areas of the ship like you did with the Dream? If you did, maybe I just haven't found it yet.

I hope you and your mother have a wonderful time when you embark on your next adventure. Happy cruising. :D

Would you believe me if I said that I just noticed the rainbow right now? I swear to you, how crazy is that?

This is one of my favorite pictures....so cool.

Thanks so much for another awesome review. The only bad part is that is over way too soon. :(

I can really understand why this would be your favorite cruise line. What's not to love. I, too, think it is probably worth the expense for a Disney cruise. Maybe I will go on one when I reach my "second childhood", which is coming way too fast. :p

Will look forward to any upcoming cruises you will be reviewing. I do have 3 cruises coming up myself, so that will fill some of the void until you cruise again.

Thanks again.......

Gwen :)

Thank you everyone who was a part of this review.

I really appreciate everyone taking the time to read and comment throughout the review. I had a lot of fun with this review and experimenting with the new cameras.

Until Next time! ^_^

Bravo Gambee!! Now I really want to get on a Disney cruise! Knowing that I have budget constraints, but your write-up and photos shows that Disney services do justify their premium prices. Thanks again for your excellent review!

Regards,

Mandy

(Going on NCL Breakaway in couple days, better re-read your review before heading to the port!)

Gambee

This is my FIRST posting in the Disney forum :)

Really enjoyed this review and glad you had such a great time. A few observations.

Cannot believe coconut shrimp at the buffet! And it looked awesome!!!

The ship looked so elegant and top notch, even better than the photos I have seen of Breakaway. I know Disney is a more expensive cruise than other lines but boy do I see the food and private island experience being several steps ahead of NCL and Carnival. But here is the funny part. As I was reading your review, I was amazed at the photos of the ship but I got the impression for some reason the cruise was not exciting you that much. So I reallly enjoyed the last part and review where you say it was your favorite cruise so far.

A+

Bravo!

Gambee, you do a wonderful job. Thanks to the easy to read directions in your Allure thread I was able to go last week and photograph Allure leaving. Fun! I too am in the FTL area. In one of your packing pictures it looks like we even drive the same car. Really enjoying your reviews. Especially with you being from the same area I can relate to your perspective on travelling to places like NYC or Port Canaveral.

I never dreamt I would want to go on a Disney cruise but I have to say it looks fantastic! Very elegant. I don't need a casino, I like their liberal booze policy, and that stateroom looks awesome. Keep it up. I hope you get to cruise the world!

So I'm now "cruising" through Day 2 of your trip... and if I wasn't such a fan, I'd almost hate you! Why? Because I'm now even more excited about my Disney Dream cruise than I am my Breakaway cruise, which is first! LOL

Watching the vids of the lunch buffet, I'm really taken aback. The food just looks fantastic! I don't remember being as blown away by your various lunches on the Breakaway as I am the ones on the Dream.

I know you spent a lot of time in the adults-only pool area, which is where I imagine I'll spend most of my time. How "adults only" was it? In other words... did a lot of kids wind up invading? I know on some ships, I read about parents completely disregarding the "adults only" rule and bringing their children to the area because it's less crowded.
