Rare whogo Posted September 2, 2013 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Is priority tendering just to leave the ship? The only line we encountered on our last cruise was to tender back to the ship. I did not see any special queue for 4 or 5 star Mariners or for Neptune suite passengers, nor did I see anyone walk directly to the head of the line. Is there priority tendering to return to the ship?

CruiserBruce Posted September 2, 2013 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Agree. Not for returning to the ship. Only for getting off.
Rare kazu Posted September 2, 2013 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2013 everyone lines up to take the tender back to the ship. Makes no difference if you were on a shore excursion, 5*, 4*, 1* mariner or where your cabin is;)
Rare whogo Posted September 2, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Thank you. I did not find the information on Holland America's web page for the Mariner Benefits or the related faq's. sail7seas Posted September 2, 2013 #6 Share Posted September 2, 2013 If there would be priority return to the ship tendering, it would likely also be for Four and Five Star Mariners but there isn't any.

There is no special line but I have seen them take folks with special needs out of the line and assist them getting aboard the tender before they let it fill IF they are waiting in the line. OlsSalt Posted September 2, 2013 #10 Share Posted September 2, 2013 No, and I honestly would not want to use it even if there were. Everyone is usually tired and hot waiting in lines getting back to the ship. Time to share and share alike.
RuthC Posted September 2, 2013 #11 Share Posted September 2, 2013 I would like to see an area set aside where the disabled could sit while waiting. It would be especially helpful when the line is long, and not moving very quickly. Those who are sitting could have a ticket, so they don't cut the line; I'm fine with that, but it would be a nice gesture. It can get quite painful to stand for lengthy periods. HAL does do that at HMC. Typhoon1 Posted September 2, 2013 #12 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Unfortunately, not. Everyone is treated equally on returns to the ship.
