Allure and propulsion problems.

Because it's not adrift in the middle of the Gulf with toilets spewing sewage. I would assume it's not real news until something like that happens.

There are also so many other ships that have engine or other mechanical issues, it is only people like us who care. And as you say she is not adrift with passengers in trouble

Does anyone know what the crew of the Allure is doing this week during the drydock? It wouldn't make sense for most of them to return home for just a few days (and very expensive, too!) Is royal putting them up in Fort Lauderdale until she returns? Are they staying somewhere in Freeport for the week? Obviously the navigation crew had to travel to Freeport, but did all 1600 crew travel as well?

I know someone who works in the casino and she's posted how happy she is to have a week's unplanned vacation in Freeport.

I doubt whether the crew will be so lucky as I would think RC have lined up cleaning/sorting/maintenance jobs for them. However, I'm sure they'll work a lot less hours than usual and hopefully catch up on some much needed sleep. I would imagine the crew will just stay onboard.

I'll be boarding on Sunday and looking forward to a clean ship and a newly refreshed crew :D
