Tote?

Does HAL leave totes in the staterooms for the guests? They sure are useful!:)

I think we've gotten them on every cruise, but it seems that on some it has been just one for the cabin, not one per person.

We are currently on the Maasdam - we got the blue thin cloth tote -not sure it will last for our 42 days. We got the nice canvas one our last trip - will see if we can get one o those.

They no longer provide the nice canvas bags. These are more like the lesser type grocery totes. We're happy we have a stack of the Mariners Totes that I love and the former canvas, tan colored HAL totes. Way better than the current one IMO

 

However, to answer your question, a tote will be left in your cabin the night before your first port. If he forgets, ask for one.

While that shows the bag it doesn't tell the feel of the fabric which I find unpleasant to the touch. I won't use that bag. :shrug:

We got the little blue one ...I agree with Sail the fabric is awful. My hubby used it to cart his bits around the ship (he was still working while onboard !) but personally I wouldn't use it in ports.

I have seen other cruise lines with plastic bags. Sorry HAl has gone the cheap way.

I think they have stopped giving the nice Mariners bags on Collector's Cruises. I really like those bags and am happy we got a collection when we did. :)

We received the new blue fabric bag (yuck to touch) on our March Collectors Cruise. We did get one of the nice Mariner Bags when DH did the "behind the scenes tour" a few years back on the Z. I love that one!

When we got the new, small blue bag -- I just put it away and used one of the Mariner's bags that I take along with us.

We got the rough blue bag on our last Maasdam cruise in the spring. I have a stash of the old canvas ones and will throw one in the suitcase. We usually use a back back when leaving the ship in port, but I like using the HAL bag around the pool, etc.
