Anyone ever receive Messages in My Cruises?

Something I'm curious about as I've never seen used, but seems like it could have been is the "Messages" function in My cruises, as well as for a specific reservation.

 

I'd imagine things like itinerary updates could be sent there, but I've never received anything, and never heard anyone here mention getting any notifications through it. Does it actually get used for anything? Has anyone ever received anything in it? Is it just general information for all passengers, or notices about a specific booking?

Bump. Anybody?

 

13 Royal cruise reservations and we have never received a message.

 

Funny thing about this it would be a very good tool, for them to use...we had a very unfortunate occurrence back in October weeks preceding our Navigator 2015 cruise. If it wasn't for an email that they sent directly to my husband regarding the cancellation of an excursion we had booked, we would never have known there was any problem (initiated by them) in our booking -- and the problem was huge, because for some unknown reason Royal cancelled our reservation on our cruise.
