I am assuming that the 2 1/2 day one is Bermuda.

I don't think one kind is better than the other but if you can provide more details on the two cruises (what ports are on each one) we can give you more feedback.

your correct bermuda is the first and the second is bahamas (orlando, nassau and freeport)

Bermuda has better beaches and is peaceful. You can't gamble on or off the ship while in Bermuda.

Nassau and Freeport are for gambling and shopping. The beaches are ok. And Orlando you would go to a theme park probably.

It depends what you are looking to do.

I would go with the Bermuda Cruise.

Bermuda is a beautiful and classy island. You would use the ship as a hotel. On top of this you have sea days to and from Bermuda to enjoy the ship.

Ports on the other itinerary are fine but to me there is no comparison to Bermuda.

I would pick quality (Bermuda) over quantity (three ports).

Neither is right and neither is wrong. Both are great for some people. It really depends on what you are looking for. Above you get a quickie description of the ports. Only you can decide what is best for you and those traveling with you

For a first time cruiser I would recommend the one with three ports of call. Most cruises visit a port for about eight hours. If you are a first time cruiser, I think it would be best to get on a typical cruise to see what they are like. Then if you like it, your next cruise can visit one port and stay docked for 2 1/2 days.

I'd do Bermuda, but that is just me.

We here at cc can't make a decision for you as we don't know you. We also don't have any other info such as cruise ship, time of year, length of cruise, your budget, who else is going...

But based on what little you've provided I'd spend 2+ days in Bermuda.

We've done both itineraries many, many times and our overwhelming preference is for the Bermuda cruise...we've been regular visitors there for more than 25 years and plan to continue going back.

We only do the FL/Bahamas itinerary in the winter (when there are no Bermuda cruises) because of the convenience of cruising from NY...we don't have to fly to another embarkation port. No worries about missing our cruise because flights were cancelled due to a snow storm.

But what we prefer or what others prefer may not be right for you. Every person has their own tastes.

By the way. starting in 2014 (provided all the administrative requirements have been put into place), cruise ships will be permitted to open their casinos at night while docked in Bermuda, so you'll even have that available to you if you enjoy going to the casino. New legislation was enacted by Parliament near the end of the 2013 cruise season permitting cruise ships to offer gambling at night to their passengers. In the past some passengers complained about the cruise ship casino being closed while they were spending the 3 or 4 days in port.
