Soda stream

Recommended Posts

That's interesting because it doesn't use electricity...hmmmm....nor do you have to take canned sodas....or bottles of stuff.... I would think that it may "pass". Will have to let folks know if it does or doesn't work.

Hrm, that's an interesting proposition. I've got one of these too. A few things I can think of that may make that run afoul, the can of CO2, and the bottles of syrup. If the CO2 doesn't pose an issue (someone more knowledgeable about RCI's rules would be better here) then I'd just bring a lot of the small sample sized syrup packages so they don't get weird with the bigger bottles.

I've heard of people bringing coffee machines on the cruise ship this is my first time cruising and wanted to know if we are allowed to bring a soda stream machine to keep in our room and if anyone has done this before?

Coffee Makers are not allowed. French Press OK.

Soda Stream compressed gas cylinder would not likely be allowed. Love our SodaStream machine :)

Sure. Maybe you can take your microwave and dishwasher too.

Someone take a wee in your cereal this morning?

;)

I am constantly amazed at what people want to take on board with them.

I own a soda stream.

I love it.

I use it every day.

It has NEVER entered my mind to take it with me on a cruise!

Coffee machines/makers are not allowed. I have never heard of anyone wanting to bring a Soda Stream on with them. The first problem you would have "if" you are flying is the CO2 cylinder would not be allowed on the airplane as it is a pressurized container and would be a hazard on the plane. There are plenty of places to get soda onboard any ship you cruise on so I would use the room in my luggage for something other than a Soda Stream machine.

I have a soda bar gun in my kitchen, and use it every day. But I cannot bring it with me, so I use the soda supplied when I go out.

Here are some pictures:

That is a complete commercial setup. It looks just like the system we had at a place where I worked many years ago.

How do you get the syrup packs?

I buy most of them from Sam's Club locally which is about 20 minutes from my house. These are the current flavors.

The flavors now are:

Caffeine free Diet Coke (Sams locally)

Sprite Zero (A local restaurant that has a coke account)

Coke Zero (Sams locally)

Ginger Ale (Sams locally)

Diet Dr. Pepper (Sams online)

unsweetened Ice tea (Sams locally)

It is nice having real tasting soda compared to the garbage tasting Soda Stream stuff.

My dishwasher is coming with me. He does a great job. LOL.

My wife brings hers too. He doesn't set off the metal detectors and has no electrical cord so they let him on board without a visit to the naughty room. :D
