Big ship sceptic sails Oasis 3/29/14 review

Recommended Posts

Someone asked the captain at the captain's corner what this was. He told them it was a rocket launcher. :D Then he explained it was a crane to lift things into Central Park.

These pictures were in Cozumel. At all the ports we went to you went through the security scanners before you were on the pier so there was no backup getting on the ship.

DW and I were on her in 2012, and just booked a JS in Feb 2015. Most memorable cruise and very exited to go again. We are on the JOS in 20 days. Loving your review as we are also going western. Thanks for the great pics!!

It is 11183- thanks Great pictures!!

This picture should have your balcony. It is looking towards the rear of the ship. Your cabin should be on the right at the front of the picture. The highest balcony deck is 14 then 12 then 11.

Adrenaline Beach; since we were last here they have added jetties to make swimming better. You still should wear water shoes.

The far end of Adrenaline Beach. You can see part of the Dragon's Tail Coaster.

Thanks.

Does the Oasis have a wrap around promenade? Can you go right up to the bow like on Freedom class?

Now that we've done FOTS twice we're thinking of trying Oasis/Allure.

You can walk (or run) all around deck 5, but the helicopter pad is normally off limits to guests. They do have sailaway events by invitation in the helicopter pad.

That picture of the crane is so cool. Did not notice that when I went on the Oasis the week before you did on an Eastern Cruise. Love your pictures and your review.

Deck 5 is the jogging/walking track. Most of the ocean is blocked by the life boats. There are a few spaces where you can stretch and see out. The only chairs are in the very rear where you can sit and watch the wake of the ship.

We would not have noticed it either if a young boy hadn't asked the captain about it. When the captain said it was a rocket launcher we had to go find it.

Eileen

Thank you for such a wonderful review (with fantastic pictures) and in depth descriptions. We are on the Oasis in 10 weeks and this just helps to build my excitement. Glad you had a good vacation - you made it sound so relaxing.

We are on the Oasis in May and we live on the west coast of Fl. We take the Alley across to 595. We spend one night pre cruise in Ft Lauderdale and go to Sawgrass Mall and then to a great cuban restaurant just south of the airport. We did the Oasis last May and loved it so much we are going again this May. We booked the future cruise credit while onboard last year(won't do that again)! We never ate in the Windjammer. We did breakfast in the Wipeout Cafe and lunch in Park Cafe.
