dcyonce Posted July 25, 2015 #26 Share Posted July 25, 2015 (edited) My wife and I have met a number of the Michael's Club Concierges. They are really great people! The Michael's Club staff are some of the top customer service people on a Celebrity ship. They have had experience in many areas of the ship and really know how to make your cruise special. Whatever the question or whatever we need ... The Michael's Club staff know the answer and can get it done. We have stayed at many top hotels throughout the world. Some top staff at Shang-Ri-La or Peninsula Hong Kong really shine. But, none compare with the hospitality of Celebrity Michael's Club. We have sailed with Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity. The Norwegian Concierges are nice and helpful, the Royal Caribbean Suite Lounge staff a few steps above Norwegian ... but Celebrity Michael's Club staff are in a league all their own. They really are the best in the industry. Of the highest integrity, extremely knowledgeable, caring, and wonderful to get to know. Thank you Celebrity! It is just a shame we can only do it once a year. We have just return from a couple of weeks under the care of Maritza Moolman on X Reflection and would thoroughly recommend the experience. I would encourage others to consider going for a CS or higher. It is worth it as the MCCs are very special people. We have also stay at the Pen and, although complimentary use of the Mini was a fun perk, no land-based hotel is able to provide the same experience as staying on a cruise ship. We have certainly been spoilt for if and when we stop cruising. Have not sailed on Royal Caribbean but found the Concierge on our one NCL cruise really helpful. However, without the equivalent of Michael's Club [at least on our cruise] I feel that she had to work much harder to achieve less and the escort off the ship by the MC Concierge work so much better. On NCL, she basically pushed her way through the crowd [cannot call it a queue] as far as she could and then left us in the middle of a peeved mob. G&N Posted July 26, 2015 #32 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Can someone post what is so special with the Michael's Club experience? We should make Zenith in the next 2-3 years, and all I can remember about Michaels is that it was rarely utilized. Thanks.
Project_gal Posted July 26, 2015 #33 Share Posted July 26, 2015 (edited) Can someone post what is so special with the Michael's Club experience? We should make Zenith in the next 2-3 years, and all I can remember about Michaels is that it was rarely utilized. Thanks. Where do I start? I guess at the beginning. A few days before you sail, you should receive an email from the Michael's Club Concierge and you may use this opportunity to get whatever you need set up for your cruise in advance. If you are Zenith and not in a top suite, this may be what your beverages of choice are for |Michael's Club. At embarkation, you are either escorted to Michael's Club or make your own way there You will be greeted with your beverage of choice and there may be some snacks. Here, you can either wait until your stateroom is available or leave your carry-on luggage whilst you do whatever you wish around the ship. If you are in a top suite, your butler will escort you to your suite, usually long before the rest of the staterooms are available. During the cruise, Michael's Club is available to you as a private lounge with dedicated bar staff who will know your preferences. Very quickly, they learn when you may wish a refill so that they do not need to interrupt any conversation to ask. Also during the cruise, the Michael's Club Concierge is available to sort out any issues you may have. You should not need to queue at Guest Relations. Special events are organised at different times including music, or other entertainment, on formal nights. If, during the cruise, you need to tender to shore or there are immigration queues at a port, the MC Concierge will escort you to the tender/immigration queue where you will have priority over other guests. Similar happens at the disembarkation port, which is especially useful where there are, again, immigration queues. This all makes for a very relaxed cruise. Phxazzcruisers Posted July 26, 2015 #34 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Can someone post what is so special with the Michael's Club experience? We should make Zenith in the next 2-3 years, and all I can remember about Michaels is that it was rarely utilized. Thanks. It is now open only to Suite Guests in Celebrity Suites and above. It is open all day for free drinks and small snacks at certain times. The Concierge makes all of the difference. Anja brought in guest entertainers every night and it was great sitting there drinking fine wine and listening. It is quieter than most, if not all of the loud bars on the ship, yet it attracts a lot of the suite guests. The concierge will also do EVERYTHING in his/her power to make sure you are having a great cruise experience and take care of any issues. He/she will also walk you down to tenders to make sure you get priority boarding or to the gangway to make sure to do not have to fight the crowds to get off of the ship. Rare Jim_Iain Posted July 26, 2015 #38 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Does anyone know is Carlos Augusto has returned from vacation as a concierge on any of the ships. Project_gal Posted July 26, 2015 #42 Share Posted July 26, 2015 (edited) What kind of drinks are served in Michaels Club? What ever you want as long as it is available on board ... well, within reason. They are likely to draw the line at the expensive wines kept in the Wine Cellar in Murano and the equivalent. Chicogirl Posted July 26, 2015 #43 Share Posted July 26, 2015 I'm like more what my husband calls girly drinks...blended fruit drinks. My husband on the other hand is a beer snob. Loves a dark beer. He will not drink Cours, Budweiser, so I'm hoping he can find something he will like. Can we get this in Michaels Club?

Olive1950 Posted July 26, 2015 #46 Share Posted July 26, 2015 Our MC concierge on the April Summit repo was a very personable young lady named Jole. She was the FIRST concierge to EVER contact me prior to a cruise when I was in a top-tier suite. Not even Bogdon did it when I was in the PH on Connie this past November.... There were only 5 Zeniths on that April sailing, and I met 4 of them in Michael's. I do agree that we should be given some guest passes so that we can share the MC experience with people who could <hopefully> decide to book top-tier suites and join in the fun; for the most part the place was empty during that cruise in April.... john_galt Posted July 27, 2015 #47 Share Posted July 27, 2015 Bogdon sent us an email about a week before our stay in the PH on the Constellation. He was most helpful. We will be back on the Constellation in March and are looking forward to Michael's! Best embarkation/debarkation lounge ever!

Mocha15 Posted July 28, 2015 #49 Share Posted July 28, 2015 We concur with the other comments re how wonderful Michael's Club and the Concierges are. We absolutely love it. We have been on 7 X cruises with MC and have 6 more booked. We have met some of the nicest people while hanging out in MC. we will be on the Solstice in Oct 2015. Does anyone know who the Concierge will be? (They have all been great.) I think the guest pass idea is a great idea. Is X listening? Alan
