WestLakeGirl Posted July 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Inside the port? No, it's an industrial/commercial shipping area. But you should be able to find lots of wine choices in the town of Civitavecchia
Phxazzcruisers Posted July 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 15, 2014 There were actually not a lot of choices the last time we were there in town. We found one nice wine shop, but it was closed mid day the second time we were there. If you can, pick them up in Rome before you head to Civitavecchia. lisiamc Posted July 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2014 There are quite a few supermarkets in Civitavecchia, and all of them sell some really nice wine, with some good local choices. Some are open during the middle of the day as well.

A quick search of the board reveals: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1977330&highlight=civitavecchia+wine http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1914636&highlight=civitavecchia+wine http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1823854&highlight=civitavecchia+wine Suggest you do a Google search for Carrefour, and see if you can get a map locating their store in Civi. It has a very good selection of reasonably prices wines.

Rare Hlitner Posted July 7, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 7, 2015 There really are not a lot of options for those wanting something within walking distance of the port. We usually walk up to the Carrefour Express (mentioned in the wiki link above) where they have an OK (not huge) selection of wines. Hank

Hank There is a Todis supermarket on Via Isonzo only 3 minutes walk from the port bus stop - even closer than Carrefour.
