wine in Civitavecchia

Inside the port? No, it's an industrial/commercial shipping area. But you should be able to find lots of wine choices in the town of Civitavecchia
great thanks , i never thought of picking some up at the airport prior to catching the transfer will probably do that,

There are quite a few supermarkets in Civitavecchia, and all of them sell some really nice wine, with some good local choices. Some are open during the middle of the day as well.

Suggest you do a Google search for Carrefour, and see if you can get a map locating their store in Civi. It has a very good selection of reasonably prices wines.

There really are not a lot of options for those wanting something within walking distance of the port. We usually walk up to the Carrefour Express (mentioned in the wiki link above) where they have an OK (not huge) selection of wines.

There is a Todis supermarket on Via Isonzo only 3 minutes walk from the port bus stop - even closer than Carrefour.
