dacsmom Posted July 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2014 I remember someone posting that they replaced Basil (the surf and turf) with something else. Does anyone who has sailed recently know if that is true?

Does anyone who has sailed recently know if that is true? We sailed the Allure recently and instead of steak and lobster, I believe it was shrimp and lobster. Ourusualbeach Posted July 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 25, 2014 We sailed the Allure recently and instead of steak and lobster, I believe it was shrimp and lobster. The shrimp and lobster is on the Jasmine menu on the second formal night. It is called the Fishermans platter. The steak and lobster on the basil menu has been replaced. I will skip the first Formal night but definitely attend the 2nd for the Fishermans Platter ;)

dacsmom Posted July 26, 2014 #15 Share Posted July 26, 2014 Surf and Turf"Petit filet Mignon , Baked Jumbo shrimp , green beans and Sour Cream mash with Hollandaise Sauce and a Red wine reduction" Thanks, it looks like they just substituted the lobster with shrimp. It still looks tasty though. I was hoping they did not do away with it all together.

Rare Lionesss Posted September 7, 2014 #19 Share Posted September 7, 2014 Looking back on our July cruise on the Allure Western, I wished we would have made out specialty restuarant reservations for Saturday..........the menu had little choices that appealed to us.................... You would think it would be one of the better nights so that the waiters would all get their "high rankings" on the evaluation surveys that they are so worried about. But then again.............our dinner at Chops was "a freebie" with our booking and had to be used on a Port day for dinner. We selected Jamaica day. Or we could have booked another venue.................. Sea Ya
