Have a return flight in Dec flying out of FLL at 11:30. Is that cutting it close? Sailing on IOS. Kind of worried

I think you will be fine, as long as you are in one of the earlier groups off the ship. It's only a 10 minute cab ride to the airport.

Port Everglades to FLL is easy to do an 11:30 flight. You do not have to be one of the first off the ship. Relax, have a nice breakfast and be off the ship in the later group..around 9 would be good for us. Easy to catch a cab.

The first groups will be off and have you at the airport before 8:30. No need to rush like that. You'll see the cruisers who booked those 10:00 flights stressing out and rushing to get off in the first 2 or 3 groups. Avoid those.... They can be dangerous.:D

Is your flight Dec. 28th, the Sunday after Christmas? It looks like there will probably be 6 ships disembarking over 20,000 passengers that day. I am thinking the airport is going to be a bit busy. Along with all those possible cruise ship passengers I am betting that there will be quite a few tourists heading home.

Maybe almost any other Sunday I might consider a morning flight.
