Gold Coast Cruisers Posted November 28, 2015 #1931 Share Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) Oh I hadn't seen this thread otherwise I would have shared this earlier. We booked Pacific Aria on a last minute deal: 7 nights leaving tomorrow Monday 30 November Itinerary: Depart Brisbane, Hamilton Island, overnight in Cairns, Willis island cruising and back to Brisbane. from: $549 oceanview or $649 Oceanview, two different Oceanview categories. I think all the cruiselines had very high pricing and people haven't booked, now they are selling them off because there are deals flying into my computer from everyone. :) Edited November 28, 2015 by Gold Coast Cruisers

windsor26 Posted November 29, 2015 #1935 Share Posted November 29, 2015 Fly, train or drive up? No added too much time and hassle and extra costs like petrol and parking or air fares so for a last minute it has to be from Sydney
stingau Posted November 29, 2015 #1936 Share Posted November 29, 2015 No added too much time and hassle and extra costs like petrol and parking or air fares so for a last minute it has to be from Sydney Overnight xpt is 230 per adult kids are 2 dollars and that a return price
windsor26 Posted November 29, 2015 #1937 Share Posted November 29, 2015 Overnight xpt is 230 per adult kids are 2 dollars and that a return price When you want a last minute bargain adding anything to the price negates the idea I want cruises from Sydney if they are for last minute bargains without adding anything but the $2.50 train fare each to the cost Thanks
B'Elanna Posted November 29, 2015 #1938 Share Posted November 29, 2015 I think you have to ask yourself, what is the maximum price per night you are willing to pay for a last minute bargain. Then if the air fare (or other cost to get there) is added, will it put the total above your price per night? What a bargain is to one person, may not be a bargain to others. What a bargain is to one person, may not be a bargain to others.[/quote'] This is so true The previous advice would add a lot to any bargain. The fare to Sydney docks is $2.50 pp The fare to the airport is $17.pp both each way so by 4 costs I would never fly in to a cruise on the day of the cruise in case of problems so that means a night in an hotel extra cost Also this means transport from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the cruise terminal All these extra charges means that most savings would be completely lost if not costing us even more than a similar cruise from Sydney which we would think was not in our price range as a bargain (just saying):D:D

By The Bay Posted November 30, 2015 #1941 Share Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) Here is an unusual pricing you don't often see. Pacific Aria to NC and Vanuatu Departs Brisbane 1 Feb 16 11 Nights $1339 Inside $899 Oceanview:eek: The reason might be that the inside includes the $79 a day drinks package, but the oceanview doesn't.
