N/A on RCCL Site.

Recommended Posts

Hello, so I was checking the price of the cruise I'm embarking on next week, and when I checked my results the cruise had N/A (meaning non-avaliable.) Does this mean the cruise is fully booked, as a family member was looking of booking it. Or in a worse case scenario, it's been cancelled? Sorry if this is a stupid question, my wife usually handles this kind of stuff. :(

Welcome to Cruise Critic.

Here's the thing. On the weekends the website is unreliable. In the week the website is unreliable. So. It may say N/A on the website but if you click on through there is often availability...... have you tried that?

ETA : which cruise is this for and I'll check the UK site?

You may find that there are cabins available through TA's as sometimes they have cabins on hold that don't show in RC inventory until they release back, but it is most likely sold out as family's try to get the last minute vacations in before schools head back.

I know what it means on our side of the pond but I'm not sure what the rules are in London. Usually N/A is not available.

I was watching prices on Jewel of the Seas, Oct 4 sailing. For the longest time, the US site showed N/A for Inside rooms and Outside rooms, only thing available was Balcony and Suites...... but I could go to the UK site and they showed lots of inside/outside rooms available. I called and asked what was going on and she told me there was only ONE inside room left......( and that was at abnormally high rate) but I could see that wasn't true! I don't know why they are doing this, it's annoying. Now it's getting closer to sailing, the US site shows the available Insides/Outsides again.

I have seen the same thing happen with Australian cruises.

They must be cancelations or TA that return unsold rooms....

Hawaii this September on Radiance was N/A for the longest time and suddenly lots of rooms available in many categories...

Can't imagine RC would hold them back, they must just be canceled or returns..

Not if the UK site shows them available- they are just trying to sell them at higher UK prices. Then when that doesn't work, they revert to showing them available to the US.

If your question is to me, yes I called and she told me there was only one Inside available on her screen- when I could see the UK site with lots available. ...:(
I use the German TA to look at cabins then write or print the cabin numbers down before calling.

At a week out..doubtful any TA's are holding cabins at this late date...there is a timeframe when they must return their on hold cabins back to RCI.
