rhuntington3 Posted September 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Did once on Carnvial but never on RCCL. Just remember, you won't be able to take them off the ship at the end of the cruise.
GSuitesailing Posted September 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 1, 2014 I have ordered that exact piece many times. It has never looked the same twice, but has always been lovely. I really enjoyed having it in my stateroom. I hope you do too.

Mrs.Dukes Posted September 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2014 I received flowers on a Royal cruise for my 25th Anniversary but it was 8 years ago. They were beautiful and lasted the whole week.

After 11 days we probably wouldn't want to take them. :p :)
browneyedgirlnb Posted September 1, 2014 #7 Share Posted September 1, 2014 I had flowers only once onboard and they were spectacular the whole week. I was disappointed that I forgot them onboard when we disembarked but I guess from what someone posted here I wouldn't have been allowed to take them anyway? Enjoy your cruise & your beautiful flowers! Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
rock the boat Posted September 1, 2014 #8 Share Posted September 1, 2014 Have them ordered for our upcoming Explorer cruise. 25th Sept. The wife doesn't know it as I always like to surprise her. ;) Like the other posters have said, they seem to last all week.

Jasp 0401 Posted September 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) On our first cruise my DH order roses and they were in the cabin waiting but they looked like they may have been left behind by the past passengers. He had also order some for his mum and they were beautiful and lasted over a week. Mine only lasted a few days and they and turned brown and dropped all their petals. My DH order another bunch and they lasted for over a week. He still surprises me with flowers but he only ever orders them when he gets on board and I receive them that evening and have never had any problems. I read that Royal removed the florist service on their ships.

That would be a shame the flower cart has always been very popular on all our cruises.

rubrrick Posted September 1, 2014 #14 Share Posted September 1, 2014 That may not be possible anymore. I read that Royal removed the florist service on their ships. Bob, quite correct. On our December cruise, I ordered and paid for 2 flower arrangements. Only one arrived. Royal made a note and my card was credited back. So, what if I had ordered just one, and they forgot? Without a florist onboard, I would have been disappointed, but it's just another example, where the flowers were not making enough money for them, so they dropped the service. Rick

Looking forward if you are going to do a live review. A cruise to/from Hawaii is on our "to do" list. Would love your feedback on when is best and from where. Thanks. alfaeric Posted September 1, 2014 #18 Share Posted September 1, 2014 I ordered them for a Valentine's cruise this year- really nice. Since we knew we could not take them with is, we gave them to a crew member that we really liked a lot.

SuiteTraveler Posted September 1, 2014 #20 Share Posted September 1, 2014 I've ordered them for every cruise we've ever been on - except suites on NCL that automatically come with flowers. The tropical flowers seem to last the longest - if you are going on a cruise over 1 week. Other than that, delivery has always been embarkation day and the flowers lasted the length of the cruise - even a 13 day cruise. If it was a longer cruise than that, I suspect I would be asking the steward to take them away when they started looking old.
cruisegirl1 Posted September 2, 2014 #21 Share Posted September 2, 2014 That would be a shame the flower cart has always been very popular on all our cruises. Ours too. My husband made a visit on EVERY cruise. Claims it is his best "investment" We hate that there is no more cart on RCCL ships. M
