Wonderful blog as always Linda with great pictures. Going to try my best to get along to the diamond event tomorrow morning what time are you planning on going up there ? Can you keep a seat for me?

Heather, I hope to get there by 11am..... as it happens they are having the Central Park tour with the Landscape specialist at 930am so I intend to repeat that and make notes this time Must remember to ask about the gnomes.....

Hey Sue,

All the way forward on Deck 7 starboard side. When I've sailed previous ships I have walked all the corridors..... not done that this time.... they did offer an art talk during the cruise which I missed, the art is certainly impressive.

Linda

PS There are no RCL production shows..... so am guessing there was no welcome show (would need to check the Compass) and there's no farewell show tomorrow.... no Love & Marriage show..... no Quest.....

Had to grin when I saw this on the TV.... the lettering is in Hebrew and says 'Pesach' (Passover)..... it's not the traditional design of a passover plate.... I'm getting pedantic....

Jasmine menu in the MDR tonight..... Formal..... I dress up.... had brought 3 outfits so had to wear it.... 3 savoury bites and I'm smiling.... asked for mashed potatoes with GF prime rib.... had a 'conversation' with the waiter about that. I'm done with the MDR. I know I said it before but this is the flagship of the fleet and each meal I've had in the MDR has involved a conversation about my diet. Not one member of staff has been bothered to get involved with me on a personal level..... first ship this has happened on recently....

they let me wear my spectacles..... just as well really.... I had my eyes open (don't do white knuckle rides AT ALL). I was shaking so much when I got down..... something to tick off my bucket list....

Glad to hear they let you keep the specs on. I'm so nearsighted that if I take mine off, I won't see anything but my knees! Did you have to request to keep them on?

Not exactly..... the crew member at the place where they kit you up gets you to sign the waiver and checks that you have no jewellery etc. He looked at me and said 'Are they sunglasses?' I said, 'No, they're prescription,' and that was that :D

I have been doggedly stalking the Central Park area for days now.... no sign of gnomes..... I did, however, run into Bjorn!!

If this will help you find them, it's a photo of the gnomes from 2012. Maybe look for this type of foliage and then peek inside!
