purpletequila Posted October 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Hi, I'm trying to decide between the 4 and 5 night dining packages, the difference being with the 5 you go to Tuscan twice. I'm looking for opinions to see if you guys think it's worth paying for the 5 to go to Tuscan twice. Thanks!
jelayne Posted October 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2014 We are not fans of Murano, I can't eat seafood so we find the choices limited. We have tried it twice and both times had less than good service. On the other hand we really enjoy Tuscan and a table by the window in the early evening makes for a very romantic dinner. royalcruz Posted October 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I like them both, and would go to Tuscan twice.
Rare ladylemondrop Posted October 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Love both, but Tuscan you could easily do twice (3 times even!) its lovely - ambience, food, all of it. Muranos is great too! And q-sine, and dont forget the lawn club!! Oh i cant wait....:D
Officer Dibble Posted October 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Can't comment on Reflection per se but Ive eaten in both Murano and Tuscan Grill on Equinox. Both were excellent - food and service - but I find the food in Murano a bit rich for my liking, whereas I could happily eat in the Tuscan grill every night!! miataman19 Posted October 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2014 If you're a foodie and winey like myself Murano is the one. Tuscan grill is good but not in the same class as Murano. I've said this before in other posts. IMHO only 2 other restaurants beat Murano, Spiaggia in Chicago and Victoria & Albert's at the Disney Grand Floridian. Food is so subjective so some people might disagree. :) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Forums mobile app
ChicagoCruisin Posted October 6, 2014 #8 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Both Murano and Tuscan are fantastic, but very different experiences. Murano is one of the best restaurants at sea in our opinion. The only thing about it is sometimes we are not in the mood to spend such a long time at dinner. Tuscan for me had one of the best rib-eye and french onion soup i have ever had. And the view out the windows from the back of the ship was beautiful. Basically you cant go wrong here.... :)
Eddie's Girl Posted October 6, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 6, 2014 We haven't eaten in Murano but had a fabulous birthday dinner for my husband in the Tuscan Grill on last Fall's TA. Would go back in a minute. On our Baltic cruise next June on Silhouette we will be giving Murano a try too.
Du vent dans les voiles Posted October 6, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 6, 2014 We tried both on the Equinox and prefered Tuscan Grill. We had a table near a window, had lovely evening!
Phxazzcruisers Posted October 6, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 6, 2014 We prefer Tuscan Grill. Food is very subjective, but Murano food is too rich for our tastes and we do not really enjoy spending over three hours at dinner. Tuscan has a great variety and the tables at the back of the ship by the windows are great if you do not eat too late.
Shake Posted October 6, 2014 #12 Share Posted October 6, 2014 There both excellent. Depends on your personality.
greydog Posted October 6, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 6, 2014 We were on Reflection last April - tried them all and enjoyed Lawn Club Grill the most. Tuscan and Murano were very good but LCG's casual outdoors setting with flat bread and grill selections were great. Good Luck
Beau Dommage Posted October 6, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Both are very good but the Murano is hard to beat. Lobster is the best i've ever eaten. Tuscane has the best view of the ship; it's very good and service is a bit less formal than Murano. Envoyé de mon iPad à l'aide de Forums

I just realized Murano appears to be Normandie renamed. :D If that's the case, I went to Normandie 3 times and still dream about the warm goat cheese souffle. Tuscan and Murano were very good but LCG's casual outdoors setting with flat bread and grill selections were great. Good Luck Good to know! I am hesitant to go to the Lawn Club but will be going anyway if I buy the package. For some reason, it doesn't strike me as being a place that's worth the cover charge. ??? I don't know why. What was your favorite item there? And recommendations?

I'm going to shoot for one of those tables with a view. I just realized Murano is basically the Summit's Normandie from what I can tell, in which case, I agree with you. While I thought the food was great, it took FOREVER.
purpletequila Posted October 7, 2014 Author #19 Share Posted October 7, 2014 Is there a 3 restaurant package option? Ordinarily, I think there is a 3 pack but for my sailing, it says it is not available so I guess it's sold out.

terigo Posted October 7, 2014 #25 Share Posted October 7, 2014 We liked both, but actually preferred Tuscan overall. We get the ultimate dining, so we never eat in the dining room. ymmv.
