Thank you for posting this picture! I'll be in this cabin on November 1st. Have you noticed more motion than usual that high up in the ship?

You will be fine in the Caribbean. 1st couple of days we were rocking and rolling with 5 meter seas. We are fine now and don't feel a thing. Enjoy - it's a great suite.

That's unfortunate. Royal Caribbean has been promoting the internet upgrades on Oasis class (as well as Quantum class) as able to stream Netflix, Skype with friends, etc.

Maybe the upgraded speeds aren't online yet? I hope that's true.

Have you been to Jazz on 4? Always enjoyed listened to Jazz at night. Hope the cruise turns around for you!

We have taken full advantage of the entertainment, tonight was the Aqua Show, which was wonderful. Comedy shows were great. All except for one headliner show have been great. We did also go to Jazz on 4. Looking forward to Cats in a few days...Entertainment is as good as other cruise lines, no complaints at all.

When you were having the slot pull I noticed in one of the pictures our Ca nadian friend Bill. He was on the NOS TA with us. Would you please tell him that Pat & Foster said hello. He is a great organizer. We had some great times with him.
BTW your review is awesome.
Also tell Bill that we are going on the NOS again next week. Thanks, Pat
Have to agree with you - when people are scared of DD because it takes them out of their comfort zone I can't imagine Wonderland (which will be far too 'out there' for many cruisers) is going to warrant a space as big as the old CL AND chef's table area upstairs AND the library, which will hopefully leave an (albeit reduced) area for a CL.
I believe you are correct (and I hope you are) and that the rest of us have been misled either intentionally or because people on board really don't know what's happening with their own ship which is still in disrepair. Read my most recent post number 210 in this thread.

Maybe I'm wrong but I know what I just heard which was very clearly stated.

Thank you so much for the excellent pictures and for providing so much detail about the changes! Major refits of ships are always fascinating and I'm not at all surprised how much is left to be completed. The drydock schedule was in place well over a year in advance and it seems that many decisions on changes to the Oasis were made much much later. With that in mind we all have to remember that the custom furnishings, carpets, fabrics, and other finish items do take some time to fabricate (typical lead times can be 12-16 weeks for custom furnishings) and that is part of why not all projects could be completed in the shipyard. It seems that RCCL did a remarkable job in getting as much done as they did in such a short time.

A few items I've noticed (not all are drydock related):

The high bar chairs at the entrance to the Grande with the very low cocktail tables seems an odd choice. I'm hoping that perhaps they are waiting on bar height tables to be delivered in Ft. Lauderdale

From the rendering of Wonderland it appears that the double height window, staircase and balcony will remain. The restaurant may have a very low density seating arrangement of its ow, more like a series of private dining nooks to create an intimate and special experience. The kitchen may be quite large for this venue as the menu items will require special preparation/finishing and possibly have their own stores cupboard and refigerator/freezers.

What will become Wonderland looks like its being used as a storage and staging area for constuction materials for the other projects onboard. That could explain why it will have such a lengthy period before it opens. The true refit work may not begin until all the other projects are complete.

I'm really surprised that they did not rebrand the Champagne bar to the "R" bar concept.

I find it odd that the Crown Loft Suites have two full bathrooms and that neither features a soaking tub/jacuzzi.

The menu at the Boardwalk DogHouse seems inordinately small and hard to read.

I'm willing to bet that the new signage for the ice cream parlor/cupcake shop will be added once the ship is back in Ft. Lauderdale. The name change to "cups & scoops" may not have been made in time for one to be fabricated in Europe. I'm also willing to bet that the Izumi signage is corrected sooner rather than later.

The screens/dividers on the two upper levels of the dining rooms next to the rails seem put there to diffuse light from the new ceiling fixture rather than to visually separate the three levels of the space.
If you are correct, ScottaMiller, I would not ever get the CL Suite.
Too bad, it is lovely. I will stick to JS.
That is correct...there is no bathtub in a Crown Loft.

I enjoyed the pictures of the new restaurants in what was the dining room. It is nice to see how they turned out. I'm not impressed with the new chandelier. I've seen something similar to it at local restaurants, but on a much smaller scale. The chandelier that was there before was beautiful. The tables banked across from a long bench on one wall seems much more restaurant like, which is what they are trying to achieve. We will see for ourselves in February!

I also liked the Viking Crown Lounge on all the RCI ships we've been on. There was a unique view looking out over the ship. We will have fun deciding which bar we like the best!

This is the same menu for breakfast that was in the Concierge Lounge when we were on the Allure this past August. Guessing these were in the Oasis CL prior to showing up here in Chops for breakfast due to the title (Concierge Dining) down the side of the menu. Edited by denamo

Kcjarvis,

Do they still have poker tables in the casino? If so, are they real or electronic? Have you seen any poker games going? Is the casino still divided, half smoking and half non smoking?

Thank you for all that you're doing.
Wonderland will only be on one level, the CL will be on the other.
They would be mad to dedicate 2 levels of prime real estate to a very avant guarde, off the wall restaurant which will not be to everyone's taste (or pocket)
sorry this is what I heard on an RCCL Webinar and what is posted an RCCL site:
My understanding is that Wonderland will be in the place of the Library and will be instead of the Chef's table. It will be one of those "Element" type meals where you choose an element and it is associated with a specific dish. I picture the drinks with the smoke coming out of them and such.
Q: Was anything removed from Oasis of the Seas®?
• The Chef’s Table and the Library have been reimagined into Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine.
Wonderland will open in March 2015.
• The Viking Crown Lounge is being transformed into a new Suites Lounge and and the suite-exclusive
restaurant Coastal Kitchen.
• The Chapel has been removed for additional Loft suites

also see this link for the changes by deck:
