I just booked an inside cabin for an 11day to the carribean for $560 plus $25 onboard credit.

that's $50/day!

plus one of the ports got canceled and rumor has it that they're going to give everyone $100 onboard credit.

so $560 - 125 obc = 435

435/11 = $40/day

I booked a last minute Jade 10 day Eastern Med cruise 3 weeks before sailing during NCL's 12 day of Christmas sale (cruise occured right after New Years 2013), and they were offering inside rooms at like $325 pp if I am remembering correctly. That's $32.50/day before taxes/fees in Europe! I ended up booking an obstructed Oceanview (turned out to be an accessible cabin on Deck 8, score), and I sailed solo, so my total room cost was around $75/day! I was able to grab air fare from California to Rome at $1300 last minute. Which wasn't great, but wasn't horrible either. Adding up cruise fare, flights, excursions, and spending money, I spent 10 days in Europe for about $3,000 total. Granted it snowed on us for 2 days in Istanbul, and a few ports were slightly drizzle-y, but none of this hindered seeing everything I planned to see at these great historic ports. And especially being the middle of winter, none of the main tourist sites were crowded. I met so many awesome people on this cruise, especially those sailing solo, and many of them booked at the very last minute also to take advantage of the killer price. This still remains probably my favorite cruises taken to date.

My upcoming 7 Day - Thanksgiving western carib. cruise on the Epic on a balcony (because I think that makes a big difference in per day) was as follows:

$78.67 pp/pd includes tax/port/gratuities

Also, received:

$100 OBC, Dinner for 2 in a specialty restaurant, bottle of wine, champagne and strawberries.

I think I did pretty well! Can't wait!!!! 31 days but whose counting!

Breakaway $639 pp so for one its $319.50 = $45.64 per day plus DSC of $12 = $67.64 and $50 OBC and $150 free play in casino. I'm a little thrilled lol

I must need a vacation. I meant to say it was $639 for two of us not pp. it was $319.50 pp for a 7 night cruise on the breakaway.

The one-of 16-night Colonial America sailing from Quebec City to Tampa aboard Norwegian Dawn during Hurricane Sandy cost me $58 per day plus taxes and port fees. So, probably less than $70/day. I loved that cruise. Because of the hurricane, we got Halifax instead of Portland, ME and only had to skip New York due to the flooding and lack of power. Plus we had a great story to tell. :D

Sun 2010, 14 days, Buenos Aires to Valpariso, Aft facing Balcony, purchased during a buy one get one half price sale. Worked out to be $57 and change pp. The sale was in January a year before the cruise. A few months later, NOrwegian announced Sun wouldn't be returning to SA and prices sky rocketed. As I recall, insides ended up costing twice as much as we paid for our balcony.

We just did a TA on the Star that was 14 days costing about $700 pp per day. That was for a balcony. Of course, we true cost of the cruise must include $12 pp per day for the service charge. Cost for basic cruise about $50 pp per day, add $12 per day for service. Now, if I add for the wine package and eating at Cagneys?

I am now watching Thanksgiving week in coming years as a result of this thread. Thank you.

I booked 7 day Western Caribbean Spring break inside for 4 Spring break 2015 for $2058 with $160 OBC last week. That comes out to less than $80pp (including gratuities and OBC). I feel ok about it, but of course will watch for price changes and promos that help me. KSF would make my day. :)

$14.21/day! We booked on a Wednesday for a cruise that left on Sunday. It was a ridiculous last minute deal through a local travel agency, $199 for an inside cabin on the Norwegian Jewel 7 day Florida and Bahamas out of NYC. $199 was the total cost for the cabin, including taxes and port fees. A friend was able to join me, so our cost was $99.50 each for the week, plus auto-grat made it $26.21/day each. It was probably the best cruise I've ever been on.
