Dinner is at Silk tonight I'll most likely have the Chicken Tiki Masala again since it was so tasty last time. If we have any different menu items I'll post them tonight.

 

If anyone is interested in the Cruise Compass for this 11 Day cruise let me know and I'll scan and post sometime this weekend...

Lou, great review, and I would love to see the Cruise compass as we will be on for 11. Nights in February. Thanks also for the positives.....there have been so many negatives about Dynamic dining, and your experience pretty much mirrored ours when we were onboard in November.

I thought it was pretty nice. The dining rooms were quite elegant, and service was pretty good, we never had to wait and dinner took about an hour or so.

Diamond guest get 1 free hour or $29 off any package. Here is the kicker. There are 2 levels of speed. Same old slow Internet and the new faster speeds in a plus package. The free diamond member hr. IS AT THE SLOW SPEED. 1 hour of plus speed is $49.

Thanks Tyron, I enjoyed your review last week as I was preparing for this trip. I knew going in that things may not be perfect. So I'm pleasantly surprised how great everything has been.

 

 

 

Oh we were speaking to a staff member and their tablet froze and had to get another one, we did have to wait 30 seconds for her to get back to us....OH the humanity of this situation we were in:) I can only speak from our experience, we have nothing to complain about but lots of others are just looking for a bad time.

 

 

We just got off the ship as well and could not agree more, we had an amazing time!!!

The dresser looks really poorly placed - was there room to go around it? Also, this may have been covered on other threads, but do you have the option to separate the beds? Based on how the wood where the lights are is not even with the wall, I'm not sure if that looks possible from this photo.

It is a tight squeeze near the dresser but I can get by and I'm not that small. The beds do separate, they would just put the two night stands between them I do like this room mostly because of the space you have in front of the bed.

 

No one has asked but I like that the TV swings out from the right side of the wall so you can watch in bed.

 

 

Alter Ego, also note that the head board is stationary...ie it does not move from the wall...so when they move the beds they will be under the lights with the little night table in between them as LouTheGlue stated......the headboard remains as you see it in LouTheGlue's pic...

This was a great review. We also just got off the ship today and wanted to clarify something on the earlier internet question. The paper they circulated with the packages did say the 60 minute plan had to be used up within 24 hours but we checked with RC before going and they said it could be used throughout the cruise. We bought one 60 minute plan and used it up over the entire length of the cruise with no issue or additional charges. I forgot to take a screenshot when we signed up for the internet but I don't believe the details of the hourly plan when you sign up says that you have to use it up within 24 hours. That was pretty important to us in determining whether to tack on a phone/data plan or just use the ship's internet, so they really should make that clearer/more accurate. We got the middle plan for speed (premium) and it was fine. I believe it was $29.50 for the hour.

Yes they are, we loved the specialty drinks at Silk the Silk Sling and the Lychee Collins.

thanks so much for the + review.........we leave in a week and I was getting so worried with so many poor reviews........praying for great weather and a wonderful Christmas cruise with my family....thanks again and Happy Holidays!

 

It is a brand new ship, and just because we didn't experience any issues I'm sure their were a few mishaps that may have happened. From what I read from the first couple of cruises I was expecting the worse but as each week passes the staff is getting use to the new system and I can only see it getting better. We are planning for Anthem Next November 30th let the count down begin.

 

Now that I'm home I'll get the rest of my photo's up on flickr and I'll try and get the Cruise Compass uploaded by tomorrow AM.

Thank you for that info! We usually only get the 60 minute plan and it lasts us all week - we only quickly check email once a night, and only to make sure my elderly mom is ok. We figured we could get two nightly checks out of a 24-hour plan (like check at 11 pm one night and 10 pm the next), but I'm glad I don't have to worry about it now, or purchase the plan 2 or 3 times during the cruise.

Great review!! We were on this cruise also and COULD NOT BELIEVE all the complaining going on!! Worse than ever, about the most ridiculous things. Had to tune it out. People are something else lately!! Great cruise :) thanks for posting these great pics!

We ate there a couple of times, better than Windjammer on the Oasis. Always go the the back, you'll get a table. Loved the outdoor area, similar to what we had on Celebrity ships. I took photos of all the food stations on day one and I took a few of the buffet at lunch, you'll need to dig through my over 600 photo's now on flickr, see the link in my signature...

So glad to hear from you and a few others on this thread, that were also on the cruise had a good a time as we did. Only negative were all the negative people. I almost snapped in the Captains Corner, especially when the guy starting complaining that the toilets were too loud.
