Could be the silliest question ever--The Oscars

So if they can get NFL football, soccer and such on MUTS, what are my chances for the Oscars?

 

Personally I think it would be really fun but that is just me.

Usually the Oscars are shown in a smaller inside venue. It was once in the Explorer's Lounge.

Most of the sporting events shown on MUTS are on an ESPN feed. I doubt if the Oscars will be shown. Normal network offerings are seldom seen onboard ship.

I remember being on one of my cruises and seeing the Oscars on the big screen...so it is possible.

We were on the Emerald this year on Oscar night......no Oscars, and nothing even remotely Oscar themed anywhere. :(

Last year it was playing on the Golden's MUTS screen. No idea if it was playing anywhere else.

There wasn't anything special going on.

We were onboard for the Oscars several years ago and the Oscars was broadcast in Club Fusion, Sapphire Princess.

It was eight years ago, but we watched the Oscars on MUTS on the Grand in 2007 sailing the Gulf of Mexico between Galveston and Costa Maya,

LOL. I was on a cruise in 2014, and I'm pretty sure there was some Oscar broadcast somewhere on the ship. (Yes, I know I'm a lot of help. :)) I don't pay much attention to award shows, so I didn't actually see it. I seem to recall it was in one of the lounges.

It seems that those who make the most "noise" about what is shown on MUTS get what they want. Case in point, the sport enthusiasts always want events such as football play-off games, etc. We were on the Emerald two years ago and counted a total of 12 people watching one of the play-offs on MUTS. If they were to show the Oscars I bet every seat would be taken! Just saying...
