Casino Cash Claw Machine

The thing people have to realize is that these are not games of skill or gambling machines. They are gaming machines and they can be set to where people only win a certain number of times no matter how skilled the players are. The odds are incredibly in favor of the house.

My favorite one to lose my money on is the keyhole machine where you have to get the key in the hole to release the stack of money. But it doesn't matter when you let go of the button, it is set to go in the hole only a certain number of times no matter your level of skill.

They usually set the machine up at the start of the cruise with one or two stacks of money missing so you will think someone has won it then people might actually win a couple of hundred dollars during the cruise while thousands are stashed into it.

It is definitely 100 $1 bills, not 100 $100 bills. You can win a lot more in the keyhole game but as someone said, these are not really games of skill. I know the keyhole game is set to payout at certain intervals. So you can line it up perfectly and it won't go through and I have experienced this before. I am not sure how the claw machine is set up if it isn't skill. I just assumed it was really so hard to pick up a stack that it was left up to skill. The way they are stacked low and flat makes it almost impossible to grab one, no matter your skill level.

As above, game of chance. There is no skill that can beat the game. I watched it in the area for hours on the last cruise and saw one winner. It probably makes several hundred per hour, constant stream of people.

My bad, yes 100 $1 bills.

Claw machines are mechanized with different, predetermined amounts of gripping force. The machine can be set up so one of every 15 drops will have the force top actually pick up a stack. The trick is getting it lined up to pick it up on the drop with the force to do so.

Interesting.... never knew that. Guess that's why so few people actually win on these things!

Best of luck! People played this game constantly on our last cruise and I think I saw one person pick up a stack the entire time. It is almost impossible. That machine must make a killing.

While cruising in December on the Fantasy we observed quite a few people winning.

A couple we were cruising with last May won the claw game 3x that trip. Now I don't know how much they put into it but I did see all three bundles of money. My 11 year old son won in the arcade on that game where you have to stack the blocks on top of each other perfectly as the game gets faster and faster. In January 2014 he came running into the dining room telling us that he needed a parent to go to the casino to claim his prize. He won an iPad. Fast forward a year to January 2015 last day of cruise. We were up on the lido deck and he sent my nephew to get us because he won again and we had to go to casino to claim prize. This time he won a Playstation 4!

  • 8 years later...

The key game where they have various stacks of bills is 100% algorithm based...THAT should be illegal..Im somehow a master at anything based on "timing"...Probably based on my musical abilities..I can play a song, turn the volume off, "hear it" in my head, and even 3 min later, I'm dead on when I turn the volume back on...Anyway, had that thing lined up/timed perfectly many times...No dice..Claw games, idk..I guess they could rig those too

All those machines are slot machines in disguise.  They are not skill games.  Also you might want to start a new thread not hunt up ones from 8 years ago

I don't think opening a new thread would be fruitful.  People will believe what they want to believe .Especially the ones who's friends girlfriends ex boyfriends cousin won $500 from one of them.  Most people unfortunately have to learn the hard way

When my kids were little, I was an awesome claw machine operator, but that was for small stuffed animals.  We would hit those at every pizza joint or family restnt we visited.  I'm pretty sure my skill wouldn't transfer to the ones in the casino.  Lol.

Then why resurrect this one?

Omg. Lol.  My daughter and I were "reminiscing" about it, after a friend of hers won a ton of tickets at some place in Cape Cod.  I did a quick search cuz we couldn't remember exactly what machine it was on the cruise ship.  That simple..This thread was one of the first search results.  Kill me..Lets put this dead horse in the ground
