I would like to know this too. I was thinking of parking at the port right near the terminal. I know it's twice the price as some park and ride options, but it seems like less hassle and might be worth it.

We used the Park and Go (not Park and Fly) last month and found it easy and efficient. I think we paid $8.95/day by booking on line.

It's a little tricky to find, so leave a few extra minutes to get there.

I would recommend it.

I've used PARK'N GO Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale)... Last time SEP14 on Allure only $5.99 a day. Valet Parking, They put your bags on their MaxiVans, Pick up at ship, Take you to your car & put bags into car for you. Ice water on way out. Just do a google search for PARK'N GO. https://www.bookparkngo.com/ or http://www.offairportparking.com/portevgb/

This is what we do. Yes, it costs more, but the convenience more than makes up for it. We've used the port parking twice, and both times we were in our car and on the road within three minutes of clearing customs.

We have used Park N Fly many times and have had a good experience all the time. It works for us....would not pay more to park on site at the port; we are about 40 minutes from the port and for us unless it is more than a 10 day cruise it doesn't pay to have car service handle transportation and leave our car in the garage.

It works well this way.

We parked at the port (we always do) and it was so convenient and easy and close. No waiting for a shuttle, etc. More than worth the difference in price which is so minimal compared to the overall cost of the vacation. I don't get all the nickel and diming some people do when in the overall cost it's so little, especially compared to what people spend once onboard on alcohol, bingo, casino, etc. I like knowing I can walk out of the terminal, get in my car and drive away which is always just that, no waiting of any kind.

We're going back and forth between Park & Go and Port parking. I have read that you may not dock upon return at the same pier as when you left. Please, how do you know where to park at the port. DH has some minor mobility issues and any long walk would not be a good way to end the cruise.

Thanks!

We always park at the port for the convenience factor but leaving from one pier and returning to another can happen when there are lots of ships in port. We have been on a Princess cruise that did just that. I confirmed with passenger services on board that there would be a free shuttle to the parking garage. When we disembarked it was waiting near the taxi stand and it left within 3 minutes and dropped us off the garage a few minutes later.

We dislike having to be dependent on shuttles as we want to be on the road as quickly as possible for the long drive home. We use the port parking and have had no issues - the lot was right across the street from the terminal. It is worth the extra $$ to us!

I have never experienced docking at a different pier as the one you departed from. That would cause havoc I would imagine and only in an emergency of some kind should that happen. The cruise line knows that the nearby port parking is heavily utilized by cruisers and that is what it was designed to handle.

Or book and park and stay package at one of the hotel chains. Especially a good value if booking a room for the night anyways.

stay123 or parksleepandfly.com

But obviously parking at the port is the most ideal and easiest.

It is not an emergency that causes returning to a different terminal; it is due to the number of ships in port. Not all ships are on a 7 day schedule like the Oasis and the Allure and some cruise lines, especially on weekend days during the season, may have 2 or 3 ships in port. When Princess has only 1 ship in port it will use their usual terminal (#2) but when there are multiple ships in port they use terminal 4 (right next to #2) and terminal 21. In our case in February 2014 the Royal Princess was in terminal 2 and terminal 4 was under construction so we departed from terminal 21. Our cruise returned 9 days later in mid-week when no other Princess ships were in port so we docked at terminal 2. I can't speak to other cruise lines but Princess had the transfer back to the parking garage down to a science.

We will be dparting on Serenade on a Friday and returning on a Monday. So we may be okay and be able use same docking sight.

I am leaning towards the port parking for convenience. We have a long drive home and will want to get started as soon as possible.

One time we sailed from terminal 18 and docked at 25 upon return. There were shuttles to take us to the parking when we returned, so no problem mon!
