What's new on the Adventure?

Hello -

I attached a list for reference. Outdoor TV, New rooms on deck 3, Giovanni Table replaces Portofino, Touchscreens at each level, Diamond Club, Pool deck and tubs resurfaced.

Bob (Clarea) was just aboard and commented that the rooms were not redone - just new TVs and carpet.

We were on the Adventure a week ago. Looked to be in great shape. At the Captain Q/A, the hotel manager said that it was just a 7 day freshen up and the ship will go for a full 37 day refit in 2016. Carpets in the cabins were definitely brand new, with flat screen TVs.

A couple more things not on the list:

Updated Vintages wine bar; Pervasive Wi-Fi; Children's Nursery (tots at sea), Concierge Club; (+Diamond Club)

Just off the adventure and Vintages is now a sports bar. There is no wine bar in the promenade. Duck and Dog pub still there. Our JS 9298 was nice. No chops grill. Giovoni's Table food was great.

There was never a Vintages on Adventure. Supposedly the sports bar will become vintages as part of the 2016 dry dock.

Every time I walked by the sports bar it was empty or nearly empty. Certainly could use a new branding!

  • 4 months later...

Was the nursery added to Adventure? I have heard conflicting reports on this. Does anyone know what refurbishments are planned for Adventure next year, and if this might be among the things being added at that time, if it wasn't added in the 2014 drydock? Thanks!! :)

Glad to hear we'll be in #9628 for a B2B in 2016.

We are in 9628 on Sept 15

We chose this particular (9628) on Adventure because we recently had the same cabin on Mariner and loved it...location and views from the balcony couldn't have been better...Enjoy !

It's a great room. One thing we found that is if we asked the cabin attendant for foot stools he replaced our chairs for ones with foot stools attached. It was quite nice for sitting out on the balcony. They weren't there when by default, but he was happy to "look for" some for us and they were there the next time we came into the room.

It never hurts to ask for stuff.

Just got off the Adventure on the 15th....we stayed in GS 1248...

The ship..it was just what you would expect from a Voyager Class Ship...having sailed the Explorer numerous times and the Mariner 3 times.

Internet worked fine in our cabin, although I only used it twice.

Pool Deck, Solarium, Windjammer, MDR, Promenade, fitness center, spa, all no surprises.

Was not impressed with Giovanni's...prefer Portofino.

We booked for next year, same room, same month, different itinerary.

We stayed at the El Convento one night pre-cruise, and the Marriott Isla Verde the day after....both very pleasurable in their own way.

Non stop flights to and from home were very inexpensive.

All around a very good cruise, nothing spectacular, just very good.

We are booked on Adventure for February 2017 - we never been on a recently updated ship so that's something to look forward too! I'm hoping they put Freestyle drink machines in :D

No Freestyle machines yet.
