Looks like a great sale popped up on my VIFP members only offers this morning.

I just booked my first back to back cruise! 21 days!?!?! I am both excited and worried.. have never done a cruise this long before. I was lucky enough to experience an interior with picture window walkway room my last cruise a few weeks ago and was able to book a similar room again. Booked it as a solo cruise, although I might have a gf come with this time... Surprised that the $100 credit showed up for each individual booking, even though it stated in the T&C that it would be $50 per person. I made sure to take a screen shot of it as I booked them individually. Lucky for me. the OBC makes the whole trip about 80.76 per night... a deal I could'nt pass up. This is also going to be my first time on the Dream. I will be on the debut sailing Oct 4th from New Orleans to San Juan and the one following back to New Orleans with the following port of call: Nassau, The Bahamas; Bermuda; St. Maarten, NA; St. Thomas, USVI; San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas, USVI; St Kitts, WI; St. Maarten, NA; Grand Turk; Falmouth, Jamaica; New Orleans, LA....... Tons of islands Ive always wanted to visit! Cant wait!

INTRODUCING CARNIVAL JOURNEYS, A NEW SERIES OF ONE-OF-A-KIND LONGER LENGTH VOYAGES

FEATURING SPECTACULAR PORTS OF CALL AND SPECIAL ONBOARD EXPERIENCES

New Cruise Program Encompasses 28 Nine- to 15-Day Adventures Visiting Nearly 40 Destinations

Throughout the Caribbean, Central America, Hawaii, Mexico and The Bahamas

MIAMI (March 5, 2015) – Carnival Cruise Line has launched Carnival Journeys -- a unique collection of nine- to 15-day seagoing adventures that kick off this fall and feature spectacular ports throughout the Caribbean, Central America, Hawaii and Mexico, along with unique shipboard experiences created especially for this one-of-a-kind cruise program.

Carnival Journeys is designed to provide guests with exciting new itinerary choices that will feature less traveled, more exotic ports of call. Carnival Journeys itineraries have been specifically designed for guests who are looking for a longer cruise vacation that will provide the opportunity to visit a wide variety of great destinations and more time to fully enjoy all of the features and facilities available on a selection of the line’s newest and most innovative ships. Carnival Journeys cruises will also include exciting shipboard activities to provide a truly unique Carnival vacation experience.

“We have received a tremendous amount of feedback from our guests and travel agent partners about the importance of consistently offering new Carnival cruise experiences,” said Christine Duffy, Carnival’s president. “Carnival Journeys was created to offer our existing customers even more options while helping us to attract those guests who have not had the opportunity to sail with Carnival and may be enticed by these longer, more exotic itineraries. These new cruises also offer our valued travel agent partners a tremendous new sales opportunity and a great way to earn enhanced commissions based on the longer cruise duration,” she added.

Incredible Itineraries

Carnival Journeys will debut with an 11-day cruise aboard Carnival Dream from New Orleans to San Juan Oct. 4, 2015. The program will run through Nov. 27, 2016, encompassing 28 departures from eight convenient North American homeports including Los Angeles, Galveston, New Orleans, Miami, Port Canaveral, New York, Baltimore and San Juan. Cruises will operate either round-trip from these homeports or one-way between these ports and San Juan. The itineraries are unique and not available on any other cruise line. A detailed listing of all 28 Carnival Journeys sailings is available here. Additional Carnival Journeys sailings will be announced in the near future.

On Carnival Journeys, guests can experience and explore nearly 40 different tropical destinations, including less visited ports like Tobago, Grenada, La Paz, Martinique, Bonaire and Ixtapa, each home to diverse cultures, centuries-old landmarks and historical structures, and unforgettable natural attractions.

Memorable Activities

Carnival Journeys participants can also enjoy unique shipboard experiences that will be tailored to each itinerary in the areas of dining, entertainment, team member connections and enrichment, all infused with the line’s spirited brand of fun. These experiences will include:

• Authentic Eats: Partnering with local restaurants and chefs, Carnival Journeys participants can enjoy on-board cooking demonstrations where these culinary artists will recreate their signature dishes and traditional cuisines from their country. Participants will also have an opportunity to dine at the chef’s restaurant ashore for a nominal fee and accompany the chef as he or she visits local markets for delectable regional specialties.

• “Local”-tainment: From calypso, soca and Goombay to colorful folkloric entertainment, Carnival Journeys participants will get an up close and personal look at their destination through local entertainment performances taking place outside the ship or on board.

• Academy of Fun: Through these educational enrichment sessions, Carnival’s shipboard experts will instruct guests in topics ranging from cooking and arts and crafts to digital photography and social media, even celestial navigation. All of these activities will be performed with the fun and entertaining style that only Carnival can provide.

• Throwback Sea Day: Carnival will set the “way back machine” to 1987 and recreate a fun day at sea with retro pool and deck games, old school dining options like Baked Alaska and the gala midnight buffet, a white glove Captain’s Celebration, popular movies from that era, a circa 1987 version of the Carnival Capers shipboard newsletter, and more.

• Shipboard Team Member Connections: Here, Carnival Journeys participants can learn more about shipboard life through informative question and answer sessions hosted by the ship’s captain, cruise director, hotel director and others, held at different times throughout the voyage and providing an opportunity to engage and interact with the Carnival team in a fun and casual setting. There will also be an unforgettable show performed by the ship’s crew during the voyage.

All Carnival Journeys adventures are currently open for reservations. For additional information and reservations, contact any travel agent, call 1-800-CARNIVAL or visit carnival.com.

I doubt it since it is a by invitation promo. See where it states...qualifying VIFP Club member number? That means that if I did not get the invite...I don't get the promo.:(

I got the offer, but it's only good for sailings up to January 2016. The Sunshine 9-day out of NYC next Summer I've been thinking about doesn't apply. :(

I will say, this is the 3rd VIFP offer I've gotten since I booked with a PVP. I have no idea if that has anything to do with it, but all my other bookings have been done either on my own or using a TA, and I never got anything other than that lame 2 category upgrade thing.

I just checked and I have the offer but my husband doesn't. It always works like this. I don't think we've ever received an offer simultaneously.

Thanks for posting this -- I'm going to take advantage of it :D

We've never used a PVP - I think it's purely random. I'll take it though! Hoping for a freebie one of these days :)

Have fun on your loooong cruise!

I got the offer too (first offer since we started with Carnival ~3 years ago). Can't take advantage due to schedule; plus we've already done most of the ports on the itinerary and we'd rather see new ones than repeat. Maybe next time.

Enjoy, OP!:)

Thanks for the heads-up! I received it too, but nobody else in my extended family did (I just checked all their accounts lol).

Just a few minutes ago, I received an email from Carnival titled "Your exclusive offer inside", which directly relates to this offer.

I previously had my eye on one of the Journey sailings and this offer would knock off $280pp plus provide $100 OBC. A decent savings but nothing to make me immediately jump. Just not sure DH can take that much time off work. Poop.

I got the offer as well. I wonder if these rates through this promo have price protection. The dates I am interested in are 5 months away....so I was hoping for the price protection. Also, if you booked b2b what kind of deposit are you looking at. (Is it a percentage of the total fare?)

We booked a Journey cruise on Dream out of San Juan for next January. So far in the last couple weeks our fare has dropped $200 per person the last one a couple days ago for the "senior" crowd. Never thought we would get a fare drop - super happy!!

We got the offer too! But can't sail on the included dates - I was so excited when I got it and hoped it would include the 10 day from Charleston that I have been looking at...but can't book yet (and the price keeps going up!)

FWIW, I have been price checking that one a lot. Wonder if that had any impact on me getting the offer?

Saw the offer this morning.

Was already booked on the Dream with my Wife Oct 4th New Orleans to San Juan for 11 nights. Had a great Premiere Casino Rate for that. Had already made Airfare reservations with points on Southwest to fly back to Florida from San Juan on October 15th.

Have been looking at the 2nd leg from San Juan back to New Orleans on October 15th, but a few days ago that would have cost $1522.00 for two (Inside Cabin) and there was no way I was going to take the Dream back 10 days for that price. Then a day or 2 later, the price dropped to $1,322.00 but I still wouldn't bite. Now its dropped to $1,062.00 (Inside Cabin with all taxes and fees total for 2) with Today's offer I got so I pulled the trigger and now have a back to back for a relaxing 21 days. Plus was indicated earlier, $100 OBC was included with my booking of the Oct 15th Dream sailing back to New Orleans. Whats nice, is that I simply cancelled mu original Southwest Flight from San Juan to Florida and used my points to book a new flight for New Orleans back to Florida. No penalties at all. I am pretty excited.

I put in the VIFP number for me and several family members. Some got the offer, and some of us didn't. No one wanted to book right now, their rather concentrate on the cruise coming up in 100 days. If it was me, I'd have one or two booked with the sale.
