Remember a few months ago when someone asked about a recipe for that AWESOMELY DECADENT Chocolate Ball they'd had in the MDR and none of us had it.........

I FOUND IT!!!

Well actually it found me since someone sent me a video on my Face Book of another desert from Home Cooking Adventure and I chanced upon this:D

Link to video is below the Snap Shot from the video by Byron Talbot

I Cannot wait for hubby to make this once we get back from Alaska at the end of May:D

What are you choosing between for the 'inside'?

It depends. Hubby is on this health food kick and eats whatever he can to lower his cholesterol (No it is not high, barely above normal range but he is trying to get it lower so.....) And I do not like his food choices that much so .....

I have not really thought much about what I want in it, well, other than it has to be chocolate:D

Oh My....now that looks delish!!! We have a great supply store in our area and I am going to head over for my Ball and make this dessert. I loved when the warm caramel melted the chocolate...now for the inside....all my favorites.

The ball in the video is large.

I am going to check out JoAnn's to see if they have smaller molds.

I know what I would put in the center -- my double chocolate bourbon balls.

Ooooh bourbon balls! That sounds good. I was thinking marzipan, some dark chocolate ganache, and something orange. With a rum sauce over top ;)

Maybe try William Sonoma?

1. Omigosh, I have never seen anything that makes my mouth water so much!

2. Did you get this in the PG? I can't imagine the amount of time it would take enough to make for all/most/many pax in the MDR.

3. The ball looks like the "fillable" plastic ornaments they sell at craft stores around xmas time - I seem to recall they had larger ones (larger than the standard 3").

TY you Joanie for posting this.
