Royal caribbean, i love you !!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

I was in the casino a bit, don't play tables but do play the slots

We like a bit of a jig about at night, is there a "labyrinth" type night club ?

(sorry for asking so many questions)

No! There is no night club 'venue'

Oh ........ I wonder what happened there ??

probably not enough space after the umpteen restaurants and bionic bar ........

It looks like the nightclub has turned into a sort of formal thing. No one uses it, so why bother .......

Still ..... at least you can still smoke in the casino :)

The music hall was basically the nightclub - there was dancing in there until way past my bedtime ;-)

Royal night was on our 2nd evening, basically free cocktails, captain gave a speech and was available for photos. Dress code was dress your best but saw everything from tuxes to jeans. That was about it really, as we had the taste if anthem every night not just that night :-(

Read this thread, well it is May 6th. No announcement. Guess this is just a scam to make simpletons happy. "Give them a happy meal and call it gourmet dining" sort of thing.

are you sailing from the UK ?

Thanks for the info Don.

but I suppose I won't know about the grub until the 22nd.

so we expect the taste of anthem on a 10 night cruise too then ?

I've heard the music hall is the entertainment hub of the ship ..... is it good there ?

You obviously didn't go to the Music Hall? Wild Boys were fabulous, they had a singer with them who was on The Voice (apparently) called Vanessa Hunt. She and the lead singer of WB are now an item and make a great performance. After their set finishes then Dragan, the DJ from the Bionic Bar plays until the small hours...... Edited by little britain

I thought rock the boat were the house band in the music hall?

If so how often do they play?

When on indy they play every night in the pyramid lounge and we never miss as they play to we'll past midnight

On the maiden they were trying out a number of locations as the nightclub... 270, boleros, bionic bar and the final night was the music hall! None of them seemed to 'work' and on the last night there was a handful of people in the music hall!

If they have settled on music hall as their club venue then that's probably the best they could have chosen!

It's a she ;)

I think on your "Royal Nights" you'll effectively get the taste of anthem menu (but rebranded as Royal Evening" menu) as this was what happened on the maiden?

I don't think they're planning any announcement as such on the 6th, but those on the current sailing should have the first official Royal Evening (although they have done it on all 3 sailings so far).

Both bands (Rock the boat and Wild Boys) played in there at different times. Rock the boat also played the sailaway party by the pool.

Music Hall was packed in the evenings when we went in. It was our 2nd favourite part of the ship after 270.

FYI they also have pool tables in the music hall, which doesn't get mentioned much.

So for the folks who thought they only needed dress clothes to eat in the Grand, what, exactly, are they supposed to do on "Royal Night" if they had no plans to eat there and packed accordingly? Maybe it is dress in your best of whatever it is you happened to bring with you.

You wouldn't stand out in more casual clothes, you can wear anything.

I had taken two dresses to choose from for Grande, so wore the least dressy for royal evening, my OH wore his suit trousers and a shirt but no jacket.

It says it in a letter on one of the posts above posted by little Britain about may the 6th ...

I was referring to the post that said the 6th May had arrived and there was no announcement. The post from little britains says the royal evenings would start on sailings from May 6th (although they started earlier) - my point was for the other poster who seemed to be expecting some big announcement on May 6th that I wouldn't exoect an announcement.

Well I was expecting a letter too.

I would imagine RCI threw the royal nights before may the 6th sailings because people would have missed out.

I'd be a bit annoyed too.

but the royal nights are only on sailings out of the UK anyway.

Just got my email, but it's only for the Wife and for our 3 day mini cruise in October 2015. Nothing for our 14 day in July 2015. But they might come nearer the time.

It says second day. Now do I count the first evening as day 1 or do I count the first full day as day 1?

I have 2 sea days straight away from sailing out of Southampton. 1st sea day I have planned Wonderland and 2nd sea day I have planned Grande. So you can see I don't want to wear tux two days in a row, which is why I like DD, so I can plan when to do formal or not.

So if this Royal Evening is on the 1st sea day, I won't be wearing a tux, but I will be in a Blazer (with Royal Navy 814 Sqn Badges), so smart dress but not formal.

I planned all my dinner options last year, now this UNKNOWN throws it all about. Well too late Royal Caribbean, I'm not changing and you will have me as I was planned.

I think the first evening is day 1, so this "Dress your Best" thing will be on the evening of your 1st full day.

Thanks for that.

Well that does bugger things up.

No tux for Royal Evening then but at least I don't get messed about with sample menu as I'm eating in Wonderland.

When I try the 4 main dining rooms I can have the proper menu. Yah!
