North star limited to one per cruise?

Flowrider you have to pay for!

Surely this isn't right?

I thought the same thing - so for the 3rd day in a row i called RCI.

they are saying we can only pre book northstar one time, however there will be a standby line you are free to stand in as many times as you want

FLowrider for 69$ is the private lesson for 1 hour -

Again grain of salt, because I just dont think RCI has given enough info to their vacation planners, yet.

We did this same cruise on Quantum last year. When we left the US there was a Broadway show (Mama Mia) on board. Prior to entering service in the Asian market Mama Mia was replaced with a Las Vegas type review show. RCI has found their Broadway shows do not play well in the Asian markets.

You will love Ovation!!! Quantum was just spectacular and we can't wait to get on another Quantum class ship.

I think it's disappointing no Broadway show as it's one of the things I was looking forward to, especially since Ovation is the only ship in Australian waters that could offer one - seems Royal is catering to the Asian market at the expense of the rest of us. :(

Ovation of the Seas Fact Sheet

Statistics

Occupancy

Dining and entertainment venues

Retail shops

Other amenities

Thanks for the link.

Under 'Other Amenities' I noticed they list the Concierge Club but NOT the Diamond Lounge - is it possible the DL has been done away with or they just don't list all amenities???

It is already relegated to deck 4 - hope they haven't decided not enough Asians are Diamond so added in some more gambling or shops instead?

In addition, I can still see the DL on the deck plans for Ovation currently on Royals website & I can see the Panda Noodle House, but couldn't find the Music Hall? Maybe the fact sheet is not accurate or the deck plans have not been updated?

I see the Diamond Club/Golden Room right next to the Music Hall.

I see the Diamond Club/Golden Room right next to the Music Hall.

That's interesting as on the Australia Royal site I can't see that on the deck plans, no golden room (what's that?) or music hall, just the DL at right side with a large unmarked space below it.

Maybe the US site has more up to date deck plans?

Yes - thanks! That's excellent & if I edit the deck number in the page URL I can see all the deck plans.

I wish they would keep the Australian site better updated.

How did you access the info - is it a link via the US website?

Yes, the US website has the normal graphical display and then there is a link for the printable version, which is the PDF file I linked above. The date range on the one I linked above is 14-APR-2016 to 12-JUN-2016.

Here are two other versions:

28-JUN-2016 to 30-NOV-2016: http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/shared_assets/pdf/decks/OV/2016-jun/ov_deck03_v2016_mar.pdf

15-DEC-2016 to 23-JAN-2017: http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/shared_assets/pdf/decks/OV/2016-mar/ov_deck03_v2016_mar.pdf

Ah ha! It's the printable version on the Australian site that is like the ones you linked to - but the standard web view has not been updated on the Australian site.

Thanks!

You're welcome.

At least you found an easier way to access the updated deck plans.

The DL becomes the 'Golden Room' on Asia sailings -

An elite, invitation only lounge reserved for our VIP Casino Royale guests.

Thanks, I did eventually read that re the golden room on the PDF for deck 4 - I wonder though what any Diamond members who happen to go on an Asian cruise get to use if the DL is converted to a big gamblers get together space?

Thanks, didn't know what that was. Do you think the Golden Room is just a lounge, or will it also have some gaming there?

I'm guessing it is just an invitation only VIP lounge for the high rollers.

Ovation was 'built for the Asian market'.

According to deck plans, Quantum's 'golden room'/casino VIP is the upstairs area of what would have been the Music Hall.

Diamond, D+ and Pinnacle still had their lounge.

Quantum deck 4

On Ovation Asia sailings, D+ and Pinnacle can use the Concierge Club, Diamonds most probably will have to make do with the three vouchers per evening.

Trying to understand "upstairs". Is the Music Hall two decks high?

Yes. The stage and dance floor (and some seating) downstairs and a balcony and more seating upstairs. It's a fantastic venue for a live band and such a shame that it's being done away with

OK, I see it now. I was confused looking at the Quantum deck plan for deck 3. I see on the Anthem and Ovation deck 3 plans that the space is shown as the Music Hall. Thank-you.:)

Yup, on the Anthem, the music hall is 2 decks high. Check the video out below.

I read through the deck plan on RCL webisite from 15-Dec-2016 to 23-Jan-2017 and noticed the music hall is on deck 3 and 4. Deck 4 is beside the golden Room/ Diamond lounge. So there is a chance there is still there until 2017, but i really hope it stays permanently. But they may use the 2nd floor as the added casino and leave the music hall only on deck 3. However, this present a problem for those who want to listen to music and right above their heads, there is a casino going on.
