Meraviglia - bookings soon to open!

Check out this video of an awesome show on the LED ceiling:

and John Cooper's promo video for the cruise TV station:

Tiger beer and Guinness (not to mention a few others!) on tap in the Brass Anchor. Between those two on offer and a smoking area, it looks like we'll have wasted money booking YC - I'll never get DH out of there. Though, if John is right and the pub is going to be a karaoke venue, maybe not!

Great video NorwegianCruiser :D - I am a bit confused as it says Aurea customers have their own private sun deck but where is it?

Can anyone enlighten me please?

So glad you are enjoying the ship though!

Aurea customers get access to the Top 18 Sundeck which is on Deck 18 and I think includes a pool. This is free for Aurea ( and I believe Adult only ) but other passengers can pay to use as well. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong.

It's on deck 19 on Meraviglia and known as Top 19 Exclusive Solarium but I think you're right about it being for Aurea guests without charge, but for a fee for others.

Thanks Bea! It says there is no charge for Aurea customers. I guess we will venture up to deck 19!

Just found another video, bit wobbly but gives you an idea about the chocolates and macarons, you could just spend your on board credit there too!

Funny, I just said that to DH earlier today when I saw the chocolatier video.

That OBC is on some elastic band at this stage and has been stretched nearly twice over - and that's before boarding! I spotted a couple of watches I liked during one of those videos, too. I wouldn't mind but it's DH's birthday while onboard and I'd originally said we'd use the OBC to get him something nice from one of the boutique shops. Little does he know that notion has long since died. :p

Liking your style there - I think they looked like Swarovski watches to me!

My other half loves his chocolate, he will be over at that chocolate shop constantly! ;p

A lot of very smartly-dressed looking people. Is it Gala night? I see cocktails being offered. There seems to be a great buzz around the ship:

I am just living this cruise thru' all the videos being posted on youtube.

Luckily Norwegian Cruiser is onboard for the bulletins.

Yeah.................. did you hear that?!! He really mangled it. I tried to repeat it back to DH as we were watching but couldn't. I hope it is/was dubbed over before it goes/went out - don't know if it has already been shown.

I'm glad to hear that - we are fantastica customers and on the Fantasia last year we thought it was money well spent. Loving the videos - it's going to be a long 81 days until our holidays

I'm a little worried that the balconies on YouTube don't appear to have any furniture on them

Reading other material on the web/YouTube they say furniture will be put onto balconies during the course of the week in preparation for the first "proper" cruise week next week

Good morning from Lisbon:) it's simply a wonderful cruise, and it seems that guests and the Crew are having a great time onboard. Last night we had our black card dinner in Eataly on deck 6 in the Galleria. Great food and fantastic service. The Speciality Restaurants seems to be very popular. Bea, thanks a lot for linking my YouTube video from the YC Pool deck. I have just uploaded a new video from the Top Sail Lounge too :) The crew seems to be superhappy all over the ship and they are very impressed by the ship themselves. We visited the Casino last evening and the it's big. No smoking policy. Regarding the balcony furniture, they are placing them out I believe. We called the YC Concierge day one and within 5 minutes they were in place. Today we will explore Lisbon, I have a stunning view from the balcony right now.

Tomorrow will be a day at sea on our way to Barcelona and we are really enjoying ourselves on this great ship.

Thank you, NC, for taking the time out of your day to read the posts here and for the updates - you're the only one posting on here live from Meraviglia and I, for one, am hanging on every word.

Here's the link for your YC lounge video:

So ............. no smoking in the casino, either. We usually hang out there for a couple of hours in the evening. I play the slots and DH has a couple of beers with his cigarettes while watching me throw good money after bad . Guess we'll be coming off that ship a bit better off than usual, so.

Enjoy Lisbon and have a great day at sea, tomorrow. I suppose we're going to have to wait for a couple of days for the next instalment. Or perhaps you'll manage to post again this afternoon? Either way, I'll be watching for your next bulletin.

Thank you for keeping us updated NC! Like Bea, it's great that at least someone is keeping us going while we wait for our time onboard! Have a great day in Lisbon. Not visited this port as yet but it is on my list!

Thank you very much for linking my video, appreciated :) The room service menu and the breakfast menu is expanded and much better than before. No need to leave the cabin for breakfast unless you want a full service a la carte breakfast in the YC Restaurant. I was surprised by the no smoking policy in the Casino and there is only one place on the ship it is allowed to smoke indoors, a smoking lounge behind the Sky Lounge on deck 16. Strange for a European ship. There is also an outdoor smoking lounge aft starboard on deck 7.

I believe there's a smoking area in the English pub, the Brass Anchor, on deck 7?

Wonderful news about the menus. Perhaps you could include them in one of your videos? Also, a view of the Top Sail Lounge buffet and the OnePool grill?

How is the MSC for Me wristband working out? Can you do all the things with it that we've been told you can like booking tables and shows or excursions, etc?

I've been making a list of questions I have for when we board and there is so much that's new to this ship. It's so good that you are onboard for this sailing to post here - there's no-one else posting from the ship.

Another couple of 'Sky' shows:

and a slideshow of pics from around the ship (a couple from the Spa for you, Kikki, from 3.55mins in):

Cheers Bea!

It's a shame that the saunas aren't built looking towards the sea as per NCL ships, that really is a nice touch & actually very relaxing!

She's a very stunning looking ship for sure - I hope those slots in the casino aren't too tight! I lost a bit on the Britannia last month on our mini cruise as the slots were extremely tight!!!

I suspect that we are not going to get much sun on our balcony as we are directly under the bridge but at last we will have a private sundeck to use :)
