Thanks Carol. Back in November, Dru told me that he expected to be reassigned to Anthem, so that's what I thought too.

 

 

 

Someone reported the info that Dru joined Allure on the 7th and is taking over CD duties from Luke on the 21st. (see post #713 http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=48986579&postcount=713) No one has confirmed seeing Dru on the ship yet.

 

 

 

Now I am wondering, could that be an error? Or maybe Dru will only be onboard Allure for a few weeks and then transferring to Anthem (that seems weird, but weirder things have happened with CD assignments)

 

 

 

BTW: Did Abe happen to mention if he was returning to the CD rotation full-time? Or, was this an occasional fill-in?

 

 

Could be an Anthem/Allure confusion as well - I've certainly seen the names confused before. I haven't seen a live review from Anthem this week to see if he's possibly there.

Grandeur handover date from Paul Rutter to John Blair is 3/12. AM is changing as well on that date....this comes directly from Andre Miller, who will be the departing AM.

It makes sense that Andre Miller would be leaving Grandeur the same time as Paul Rutter. John Blair works with his wife Katrina, as AM. Here's wishing Andre well on his next assignment.;) He is a totally engaging ball of energy, always on the go but also ready to interact. Wish I knew where he gets his energy so I could get some too.:p I get tired just watching him.:eek: This cruiser will be very happy to be traveling with the Blairs again!:D

No, you didn't miss it. That handover isn't until the end of May or the beginning of June, and the info isn't available yet. Only a handful of CDs are in regular rotations and know their schedules that far in advance. Usually, we'll find out much closer to the handover, especially if it is a fill-in. It was ABE who told me that he *thought* that Dru was his fill-in. He may not know the actual answer. After all, *he* doesn't really care - he will be on vacation! ;) ;)

Abe is on Anthem for another 2-3 cruises (I will be on the March 4 sailing and expect to have Abe). So, Dru is definitely NOT on Anthem now.

 

Abe said that he thought Dru would be coming onboard after him. Dru also told me that he expected to have a few contracts on Anthem sometime this year. Neither of these have been confirmed.

 

The confusion is whether or not Dru is on Allure now, and if so, for how long.

 

There are many possibilities:

 

Dru could be on Allure now for a short fill-in, and then moving over to Anthem in March to do a short fill-in there too. Unusual, yes, but not impossible.

 

Or, someone else could be filling-in for Abe on Anthem in March.

 

Or, someone else could be on Allure now, and Dru will be coming to Anthem in March when Abe leaves.

 

Time will tell.

Was going to report that Ricky Matthews is on board the Indy, but it looks like Ricky himself beat me to it. The Day 1 cruise compass lists Leigh as the cruise director and I haven't been online in the last couple of days so I was surprised when Ricky was introduced tonight.

Just doing some research to figure out the schedule on Freedom:

 

Jamie posted on FB that he is undergoing back surgery on March 8, so it's hard to imagine that he will be able to return to CD duties anytime soon. He's going to need time to recover.

 

And, according to his FB page, it appears that Casey is getting married during his break, which might mean extended time off. (and it appears that his fiancee also works on the ship)

Where did you get the info from? Info from RCI isn't usually accurate.

 

This is the current info regarding Liberty, and it comes from Amy herself. Amy is the regular CD of Liberty:

Anyway, Luke consistently gets excellent feedback! He is a regular CD (of Allure at the moment), so it is unlikely that he will be covering Amy's break because he doesn't usually do fill-ins

This bums me out. Cruised on Freedom in 2014 and loved Casey. Of our prior cruises, he is the only cruise director I can even remember. Was really looking forward having him as cruise director when we are on Freedom in April.
