I spoke to AM Tonya on the Grandeur this morning. She was quite certain that Paul Rutter was covering Bobby's break until sometime in July. She is filling in for CD during the conference within the February 4-13 time frame. I think the conference is early in that period.

Roy

Thank you for the info. So, Bobby is taking a 4 month break? That's kind of long, but it makes sense that Paul would be doing a 4 month contract.

Do all CDs go to the conference? I sail Feb 5 on the Jewel and wondering if Dennis will be gone from that sailing due to the conference.

The last time there was a CD conference (2 years ago), all the CDs went, and the Activities Managers stepped in the cover as CD during the 2 week timeframe.

I figured. I've had AMs cover for CD emergencies in the past...and I gotta say, they both did a great job each time. I think they are trying to impress and get noticed for a promotion.

I thought Paul Rutter was the "regular" CD on the Grandeur and wondering if Bobby is on a 2 month break, filling in for someone else (I thought I saw something about Anthem) before covering Paul's next break.

BTW, I was not that impressed with Bobby. I tried to ask him a couple of times who would cover his break and he never had time to talk. I found it a big contrast to John Blair on my last Enchantment cruise where a question came up on Cruise Critic. When I asked the question he had no idea what I was talking about but stopped me a couple days later with the answer.

Never liked John Blair, but that is good customer service.

Ignoring the fact that he was quite busy, how was Bobby as a CD?

Currently watching the list for Harmony early July. I hope Abe's still on then, as I would love to sail with him. I wouldn't be too excited if I had Bobby Brown again on HM - Nice guy, but not very entertaining, a bit dull, and would go better with an older crowd in Alaska, not Harmony in the Caribbean which will be packed with families.

I'm a fan of John Blaire and thought that Bobby Broughton was a breath of fresh air on Grandeur. Found them both very warm, personable, outgoing, responsive and entertaining. I'd be happy to cruise with either of them any day. Guess that is why B&R has 28 flavors, or was that Howard Johnson?:p:rolleyes:

We were caught during that time, & rather than Tim we had to endure "cruzin Susan", who at that stage was the worst "CD" that we'd had.

Ken Jones took over that position from her last year. :(

from a "live" Oasis review written by someone who was on Rhapsody last month, Patricio moved from Rhapsody over to Oasis.

Yes, we have imported Patricio...formerly from the Rhapsody..that

came over about a month ago. He has a talented memory and knew

us from that ship last month. Nice guy.

Thank you Teri

Could Marvin be stepping up temporarily for the CD conference?

Roy

That's highly likely. There are going to be a lot of AMs covering as CDs over the next 2-3 weeks.

I am not going to update the list for these temporary coverages for the conference.
