Hi, Ernie! A couple of answers:

There isn't one set nightclub for late night dancing, I'm told, but definitely Skyline could be a spot as could Margaritaville. I feel like I'm missing something. Skyline was okay -- it wasn't quite as dramatic as the Disney version and it's open to the casino so may not feel clubby. Love the plush red banquettes though. There are four screens, I believe.

The spa is larger to accommodate larger passenger base. It's designed to be more open in the fitness area, and somewhat enlarged, but not dramatically different. It's bigger in the spa area (lovely). The only new feature is the snow room.

It was a blast. I'm beat, though :) -- hope this helps, let me know if there are other questions. Can't wait to hear about your crossing!

Carolyn

Hey Carolyn,

Hope you're having a blast!

A few questions if you get the opportunity.

1. What will be used as the nightclub/disco for late night DJ dancing since there is no longer a Bliss nightclub?

2. The Skyline Bar is the most intriguing to me on the ship, mainly because I loved the similar concept on DISNEY DREAM. Can you tell how it will differ on ESCAPE? Perhaps the screens are much larger and there are more of them?

3. The Spa appears larger on ESCAPE according to the deck plan. It wraps all the way around on the Port Side where there are cabins on the "away" ships. Is there anything new over on the Port Side or just more seating? Also the fitness center on the "away" ships is one of the biggest disappointments, especially after EPIC. It's way too small for the number of passengers. Is it enlarged on ESCAPE?

Have fun and if you get the opportunity explore my questions fantastic, and if not I understand as I know a lot is planned in a short time.

Best I could tell, Johan, no, they're not connected. The Grand Staircase is squarely in the Haven space (reminds me a bit of the gorgeous staircase in MSC's Yacht Club).

Saw a spa suite -- it was the only cabin we got to see that was mocked up, or rather, inhabitable, and it was lovely. I'd book it for the stateroom itself, and the Haven access would be a major plus.

Carolyn

Thanks Carolyn,

Do you know if the grand staircase connects the Spa suites located on Deck 16 to the Haven?

Hi, KeithJenner, took a lot of photos of the fabulous brewpub. It's going to be a hit, predicting that! Love the space and it wasn't even all together!

Food Republic I'm still trying to get a handle on. It's very close to the brewpub and in fact will provide food service for it. A'la carte priced. The space wasn't really ready to be seen. Am told the Food Republic will be semi-service, in which you sit down, order by iPad, and the food is brought to you.

Carolyn

I'm interested in the layout of the brewhouse and food Republic on deck 8, as this area is significantly different to the away class ships.

Hi, Spaniel Lover from Rhodesian Ridgeback Lover :)

Nobody wanted to talk menus. I thought it was interesting that Margaritaville was way up on the pool deck, and the Five O'Clock was deep into the Ocean 6/7/8. Expected them to be together. Margaritaville has its own bar, though.

Was told that the Jimmy Buffett team is very protective of its own brand, so would expect that they have plenty of weight when it comes to what is being served (and drank? drunk?)

PPS And here, but really, not much to see just yet.

Pictures of Margaritaville and the Five OClock Somewhere bar... and any details they might be able to provide on menus. I doubt they would have a menu there for you to see, yet... but perhaps someone in the know would be able to provide some details on what will be on the menu at Margaritaville. Some people have speculated here in the forums that the Escape's Margaritaville will have the full menu that is available at a Margaritaville on land. That seems very unrealistic and unlikely to me. It would be good to have some authoritative information on that subject.

The balconies -- and this is in response to criticism of Breakaway and Getaway verandahs -- are approximately 1.5 sq. ft. wider than on the "older" ships.

Would venture to say that every inch counts, right?

Carolyn

There has been some speculation that the balcony's are larger overall, compared to her sister ships BA/GA. Would love to confirm that[emoji6]

PS It's actually a wonderful use of space -- which no one would ever notice because cabins were here before. I wouldn't want to book the cabin that leads right off the brewpub, mind you, but I'm not a night owl :)
