Bliss officially going to China, as we all suspected.

Did anyone read this part, "Additional details, including the ship's name, homeport, accommodations, dining and entertainment will be shared in the coming months."

I wonder if the name will change to something other than Bliss?

Hm, still quite a surprise to me. Probably wishful thinking on my part. :)

Perhaps there is some kind of synergy/productivity benefit with Genting World being built a few months ahead of Bliss at Meyer too.

There's definitely some synergy remaining from their long involvement with each other. You can't go 15 years without a huge flow of people, ideas, and even ships. NCL has been mustering whatever Star resources are left on their end for a while now to see what can be put together, an effort that inevitably led to the leaks we heard here.

This is so disheartening. I was waiting patiently to see where it was going to go and planned to book on day one but im in no way interested in China. I wish NCL well in the venture but im disappointed. Guess I will just have to wait for the Ship that was not supposed to be the Bliss to come out :)

I bet the casino is at least twice as big. A lot of fee for charges. High end shopping arcades.

NCL will have to change back CAS the way it was for sure. The Asian market Knows where to gamble their money and they get comped very well.

I hope they up the CAS perks soon.

Well, she's being built in Germany and she needs to get to China. There's likely to be repositioning cruises through Europe and the Middle East that you could partake in.

I'm not a mega ship person, but would love to sail on one once and your suggestion is a great idea.

I'd like to point out that the rendering NCL attached to their new announcement shows a ship that is radically different from both Breakaway and Escape. It also includes the inboard lifeboats that I discussed previously here that were developed for possible West Coast deployments for future ships. The fewer number of lifeboats also suggests a lower max passenger capacity.

Thanks for the pic!

Indeed the lifeboats, hmm..

Also: the bridge is one deck lower, for what?

Escape style hot tubs on top sun deck.

Bulb at pool deck, also hot tub or skywalk like thing?

White windowless part a few decks down from the outdoor Haven dining?

Also, none of the kids stuff...water slides and rope course aren't depicted either??

Do you think the artist formerly known as "Prince" will be the Godfather for the ship formerly known as "Bliss?" :)

Isn't Jackie Chan the go-to Asian celebrity for Amercia? I can see him karate chopping his way through the ceremony now.
