We're on the Diamond, cruising through the Whitsundays. It's a beautiful morning with calm seas. The ship handled the rough weather up the NSW coast very well. All is good with the world.

Thanks for the update. Enjoy your day cruising the Whitsundays. Beautiful part of the world...:):)

Hi, I'm hoping someone on the Diamond can answer these questions.

I'm boarding the Diamond when it gets to Fremantle. Does the laundry run on US quarters? Can you access the 240 power point under the bed and plug a power board in with an adapter? Or does an Australian laptop with an adapter run ok on the US 110 plug by the desk? I know it won't damage it but I'm wondering if it'll run too slowly.

Thanks

Fun and games in Port Douglas. The tender process back to the ship has gone terribly awry. The tide is so low none of the tenders can leave. We were asked to disembark our tender as it stuck to the bottom. Row, row, row your boat chorus has just been sung by the crowd.

She was a bit rough for a while, but the pa two days have been smooth sailing.

The Tender from Port Douglas out to the ship was a Tad bouncy.

Having a fantastic cruise do far, but for som strang reason nylon I meet that doesn't like m thinks I'm Mic from Canberra:p or gbenjo;).

Not sure how that's happening.

Laundry seems to run on tokens, you sipe your card and out pop tokens, I'm pretty sure DW said $6 a load wash and dry and $1.50 for detergent if you haven't bought your own.

Your laptop will charge fine with a US adapter, but may take a bit longer to charge. But the computer itself will run the same a at home, but the Internet is a bit, what you might call slow.

I can't see a power point under th bed.

 Not a good start to GUT2407's cruise. Hopefully things will calm down once they pass Brisbane.

The only real problem was that clumsy Gut kicked his little toe when the ship rolled Abd it's black and blue.

Gut, lucky you got an early tender back. We're just on, they're pnly taking 50 on each tender.

We've only been back about 15 minutes, but our tender was fully laden. A fair old line to get on, might mean a late departure if they can only bing back 50 at a time.

Hi Everyone. Counting the days until I join you in Freo! Just starting to think about the packing list! This is my first Princess cruise and I am wondering if the staterooms have makeup mirrors - either on the desk or in the bathroom. This is in an OV not a suite!!

Also, because I am sailing from my home port and it is easy, I will be bringing wine aboard and paying the corkage. I haven't ever done that before and I was wondering how it all works for dinner. Do I take a bottle to the MDR the first night and it just stays there with my name on it, or do I get it back after the meal and take it back to the cabin?

Glad to hear you are all enjoying the cruise so far!

Regards

Jan

Hi NaughtyNanna

We paid for corkage on wine. We bought some wine to have in our cabin, and one bottle in particular that was a gift to take to the dining room. They stamped the three bottles we paid corkage on, leaving two unstamped.

Murphys Law being what it is, the unstamped bottle was one we wanted to take to the dining room and they wouldn't allow us to take it in without paying additional corkage because it wasn't stamped. So make sure they stamp your best bottles and keep the roughies for the cabin.

Hope this makes sense!
