so we booked the jade last night for January after a really hard week we have decided this is what we need. We have a 17 year old that has heart disease and is in Failure... He loves Crepes.... Does the Jade still have them and where are they located... sorry for the ramble.... I guess I just do that.. Seems like on a whim I picked a perfect ship for Alex... lol he loves Medusa

Sorry to hear about your son's health issues...Hope he gets the help that he needs.

We are on the same cruise....so lets hope for great weather and a great cruise.

Let me hide in your closet for your 2nd leg... :) Thank you for the well wishes... I think a cruise is just the answer.. in fact he asked tonight if we could go on a cruise before he turns 18 in august so he can go to the teen club one last time. I am looking so forward to relaxing. I do so hope they still have the crepes for him...

They will have the crepes.

My hubby had them 2 weeks ago.

He said “Yum, yum”.

*I eat gluten free, so none for me. : > (

It's a little discouraging to hear about the tender situation in Roatan if we don't get to dock. I hope they get it straightened out by then.

Try to think positive.

At least we weren’t on the first trip.

It will be a short tender.

They are doing the best they can to fix the problem.

You are on vacation, don’t let this spoil it.

greetings from paradise beach! the jade is in good shape. can't comment on the buffet but the dining room food and service have been very good. yes they have crepes and they are awesome as usual. getting off today was somewhat disorganized, mostly due to rude passengers. the crew has been very welcoming and responsive. our room steward was a little miffed when I told him to empty the mini bar. he asked is he could stack it on a shelf. umm, no. the shelves are bought and paid for and already have our stuff on them.

the casino is really smokey but thus far that has likely saved us money.

paradise beach is as beautiful as ever. wifi seems to be a little stronger than normal. Sunny and warm just like I like it.

I'm sure it won't spoil our trip, but I'm trying to decide on an excursion in Roatan. Plan to go to a beach at West Bay for snorkeling and the tender situation might push me toward scheduling the NCL excursion, even though it's more expensive. I would hate not to be able to get off the ship until noon. But we will just wait and see. Maybe we'll luck out and get to dock.

Regarding tendering in Roatan: will NCL know ahead of time if the Jade will dock or tender. We are planning on using a nonNCL excursion and it says to meet them one hour after docking. Was thinking about calling and asking NCL about our week.

Jade will always tender. Never dock.

We're on the same cruise in Feb. Wanted your opinion on which was a better beach day excursion. Between Cozumel (Mr. Sancho) and Roatan (Maya Key), I don' think we need 2 beach days and would like to get some shopping in.

We've been to Mr. Sancho before & liked it. Today we are at Iberostar.

Hello All! Walked off of the Jade about an hour ago.

Prime rib was served the first night in Garden Cafe.

Football has been on non stop.

We met the crew at the Meet & Greet. We questioned the tendering process. They are doing the best they can but if there are high winds they can only use half of the pier.

I know there is a lot of whining and complaining on here about NCL charges/changes, but this kind of stuff is what should really bother people since it has a greater impact on what I consider the most important part of a cruise. In Roatan, Royal Caribbean ponied up to dock and NCL clearly did not. Further, they have a very short port day to exacerbate the situation. That to me is the real bummer about them maximizing profits.

Only one martini tasting & it was yesterday, day two. $15

The casino is hot & since NCL was not very accommodating, we cancelled our slot pull.

Lots of members of roll call didn't show up for Meet & Greet but the ones that did are lots of fun.f1e554aefe6933b26a0c25fc5dc1bb88.jpg
