SurfCat Posted January 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2016 Can you bring an unopened can of powdered Gatorade in your checked luggage? I'm not sure why you wouldn't be allowed to, but Carnival has some silly rules.

vwrestler171 Posted January 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2016 Powdered Gatorade has been a lifesaver on my cruises. Now if they only came in more flavors.

lizardhowson Posted January 2, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2016 but Carnival has some silly rules. The only restriction is beverages in bottles (except for wine). Liquid drinks must be in sealed cans or boxes. No restrictions beyond that.

Rare jimbo5544 Posted January 2, 2016 #10 Share Posted January 2, 2016 Can you bring an unopened can of powdered Gatorade in your checked luggage? I'm not sure why you wouldn't be allowed to, but Carnival has some silly rules. The reason for the silly rules is that lots used to take and remove original fluids and substitute alcohol, many different varieties of doing such. So much so that Carnival and to put the brakes on allowing plastic containers. A smile YouTube search can show you how creative people can get to break the rules.... evandbob Posted January 2, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 2, 2016 Some cruisers bring powdered alcohol on board too. Can be found on the web, although some states have now outlawed its sale.
elliair Posted January 2, 2016 #13 Share Posted January 2, 2016 Can you bring an unopened can of powdered Gatorade in your checked luggage? I'm not sure why you wouldn't be allowed to, but Carnival has some silly rules. I bring the packets of Crystal Lite, and I also bring D'Vita Cappuccino (powdered). I bring 4 cans of the D'Vita on the longer cruises but I dump the powder into a quart size baggie. Takes up less room. There's no "rules" that say you can't bring on powdered Gatorade, koolaid, etc. I refuse to pay what Carnivals wants for a cup of Cappuccino.
