Know the Gallery Bar is the former Northern Night area. Where is NY Pizza located and I do hope that means better pizza?

Thanks for he pics. Gallery is a lot prettier than Northern Lights.

Can't wait to see these changes in person.

NY Pizza is where Slice was... aft pool. Same space, better food

Gallery Bar

Thank you so much for the photos. Of course it will make the two weeks until we leave for our cruise (24 Jan) seem to go even slower. :) Then we will have to wait until October for our 22 day Med/Transatlantic cruises, all on Eurodam.

Great photos - thank you. I really like the look of the Gallery Bar. But I really, really dislike the Lido cabanas.

they've always had them, just moved them to the other side so there was a little less of a traffic issue through that part of Lido Deck. In building Nieuw Amsterdam they had initially had them on what is the "new side" for Eurodam based on observations from Eurodam's launch.

Are you just against the concept in general or is there something about these specifically that you don't like?

KK, you've taken enough cruises I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir... but why not just ask if they could bring a chair, maybe from the lido pool area? but something that is more vertical but could be outside without causing any damage.

Here's a pic of what at least USED to be out at the lido pool. Not sure if they changed it during the dry dock, but if not I think those could work quite well. (of course I don't know what your specific needs may be)

That would be WELL within the realm of "reasonable accommodation" ;)

When we were on the Zuiderdam last spring, the concierges had one of those black/brown chairs brought down to our verandah for me (before I broke my back).

I have a feeling -- like you mentioned -- that those chairs around the Lido tables have been replaced as well.

I dislike the Lido cabanas on any ship. It takes away a lot from the public area and in general just ruins the deck, IMO. I have nothing against the cabanas on the upper deck (The Retreat?)

Actually didn't realize at the time but that lido cabana pic I shared above recently... the attached images, not the embedded pic you quoted... appears it's still the same chairs :)

What is better about the food?

They are serving something other than their usual pizza?

Slice was only pizza. Nothing else. The New York Pizza outlet is described as follows for Koningsdam on the HAL website. I don't believe Eurodam will have sandwiches here, but they do have salads and desserts (the original high res picture lists several pizzas, a caprese salad and a kale caesar salad and a couple other items, including panna cotta (you can see some of these non-pizza items in the case) and another dessert... ricotta something. I can't make out the other word. Pizzas are either a few choices of pre-made recipes or make your own.

HAL's description:

Authentic deli sandwiches piled high, indulgent personal pan pizzas and creative salads are served up poolside.

Personally would not miss the separate shower. The shower stall is way too small for a 6 foot person. I always use the shower in the tub. Also the curtain on the stall shower always seems to get blown into the shower- I'm constantly pushing it away from me.

We just got back home, we were on the New Years cruise 12/27-1/3 onboard Eurodam. It was a great cruise and I really liked the upgrades. We were only in an outside HH.

The new pizza is much better than the old one. It's made to order and you get a buzzer when you order just like in the Dive-in. The pizza could have tasted a little more, but atleast it's fresh now and you can composer your own if you want to. Didn't try the salad but tried the Panna cotta, it was acceptable.

It's still the old logo on the smoke stacks.

I can post some more and larger photos of the new interiors if anyone is interested? I have a couple of photos from Lincoln center stage (not very good photo though), Lido restaurant (minor changes), Gallery bar and Billboard onboard.

I think they actually changed many things, but it's difficult to detect/ figure it out. Was onboard last summer for a ship tour, but it's difficult to remember the details. Should have taken more photos both the last time and now this time.
