Suite Boarding Priority?

Do suite guests get any boarding priority (on Westie)?

 

If so, does it apply to Signature Suites or only Neptune and Pinnacle?

Only Neptune and Pinnacle Suite passengers benefit from priority boarding for being in a suite PLUS all 4-star and 5-star Mariners occupying any cabin.

First people on will be the wheelchair people.

Priority boarding is next for the PS suites, Neptune Suites and 4 and 5 Star Mariners.

All others are given numbers and board when their number is called.

There were so many people qualifying for priority boarding on our last Maasdam cruise my wife and I laughed about it. It seemed half the ship was in our early group. :)

Exactly. :D There is no real 'priority' boarding or tendering at this point.

I understand that in the scenario it did not prove to be much of a benefit, however, we have embarked upon a few cruises whereby it has made a real difference. It just varies depending on all passengers and their needs.

Most of the time, that is the case with some exception.

I've seen escorted boarding for Pinnacle Suite with Hotel Director, Guest Relations Manager, Concerige.... and sometimes no one. It really isn't such a big deal.

It's when you're escorted from your suite that you need to worry! Note: This thought doesn't reflect a personal experience.

We are eyeing a Signature Suite on an upcoming Alaska cruise. It seems to me that Signature Suites are not suites as all, as they don't get many, if not most, of the perks given to Neptune Suites. Why not call Signature Suites "Large Veranda" rooms and get on with it? It just makes it confusing.

Like any other retail business, you need a lower price point to advertise. "Suites starting at..." is a much more attractive offering to shoppers when viewing the Signature Suites' fare versus a Neptune.

You do get double "points" when you pay listed price for any room designated as a "suite".
