Tam.daelynn Posted January 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2016 Hey all! I'm looking for the best iternary and ports for beaches. We don't do excursions, just hang out at the beach. We like blue water, soft sand- not rocky and hate seaweed!! So top ports are? Thanks!

Tam.daelynn Posted January 12, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted January 12, 2016 We went on Disney last year and they skipped it due to weather :(( I was so upset! No Disney this year :/
Shadow205 Posted January 12, 2016 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2016 My favorite is Antiqua. Aruba, Grand Turk, St. Martin, Grand Caymen, .....I think that it would be easier to name the islands with not so great beaches. I personally don't care for the black sand beaches. :)
CoconutOne Posted January 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2016 The softest sand I've felt was in Antigua. Step on it and you sink down about 2 inches. It was like walking on clouds.
Langley Cruisers Posted January 12, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2016 I think you can find lovely beaches on most Caribbean itineraries. I can't really think of any ports that disappointed me, although some islands offer better swimming with calmer water. What are some of the itineraries you have been looking at so far? Rare KKB Posted January 13, 2016 #8 Share Posted January 13, 2016 We went on Disney last year and they skipped it due to weather :(( I was so upset! No Disney this year :/ if they cancelled a port due to weather...not in their control. ALL cruiselines do this all the time. Almost all Caribbean islands have wonderful beaches (not Key West), so you really cannot go wrong. We loved the beaches in Aruba & Curacao (S. Caribbean), Sapphire Beach in St. Thomas (E. Caribbean), Cozumel & Gr. Cayman (W. Caribbean) & have always enjoyed all the private islands.

cb at sea Posted January 13, 2016 #11 Share Posted January 13, 2016 Seaweed is dependant on currents. It can be there one day, and gone the next...sort of like jellyfish!
cruiseapril Posted January 13, 2016 #12 Share Posted January 13, 2016 We are beach people and like: Half Moon Cay, Coco Cay, Cable Beach in Nassau, Grand Turk, St. Thomas, Barbados (Carlisle Bay), Curacao, and Aruba (Palm Beach) for the beaches. There are so many!
