That's what I was thinking. I wouldn't have guessed she is twenty years old. She only holds about 300 passengers (and she sailed with two less;)).

Good question - most likely just the size, as she should only be at headway speed leaving the port channel.

Oosterdam is sitting there in the dark looking so lonely.

Quite a day for the Oosterdam and one long dragged out sail-away thread! Usually there are a few post form the early addicts and the sleepless when the ships come in before sunrise and then posting picks up before they sail, but we had plenty of things to keep it going all day.

 

Since I was sitting around most of the day waiting for people to deal with issues in our building, I could keep an eye on all of it - though I missed the Oosterdam's sail-in.

We are usually up between 4:30 and 5 AM.

But I never think about watching the ships coming into Ft Lauderdale.
