Jsrbrown Posted February 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2016 If we arrive at a port at 10 AM and depart at 4:00 PM, what time can I plan on being off the boat (to schedule excursion) and what time should be plan on being back on the boat? SuiteTraveler Posted February 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2016 What cruise line, what ship and what region are you cruising? Are you in a suite or regular cabin? These are all the things that matter in trying to answer this question.
cb at sea Posted February 6, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2016 If it's docked, you can walk off when they open the door. You will need to be back ON the ship 30 mins. before the posted sail away time.
Rare LHT28 Posted February 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2016 10:30 -11 am if docked later if you tender back on board 3-3:30pm
paul929207 Posted February 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2016 10:30 or 11 if the ship is docked. If you have a tender port might be as late as noon or so. This assumes the ship is on time and no difficulties with the local authorities. If you are planning a private tour, they will be aware of when the hip is cleared to look for you
Rare Essiesmom Posted February 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2016 I think he may be on MSC Divina, asking questions on the MSC forum. EM
zqvol Posted February 6, 2016 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2016 Usually you can disembark at the stated docking time if the ship actually docks. You need to be in line to get back on the ship 30 minutes prior to departure.
Rare Keith1010 Posted February 7, 2016 #8 Share Posted February 7, 2016 All guests need to be back 30 minutes before and I would pad that time for things that could go wrong including traffic congestion and a vehicle breakdown. What time you are off the ship varies by area. Caribbean probably by 10:15. Europe around 10:30. China by Noon. Keith
Clarea Posted February 7, 2016 #9 Share Posted February 7, 2016 If we arrive at a port at 10 AM and depart at 4:00 PM, what time can I plan on being off the boat (to schedule excursion) and what time should be plan on being back on the boat? I'd allow at least 30 minutes after arrival, unless it's a tender port, in which case I'd add 30-60 minutes more.
