Just off Navigator

Hi everyone,

Just got off the Navigator today on a quick 3 day cruise. Disappointed we missed Coco Cay, as it is one of my favorite places to visit.

Highs

-service was great

- nice layout. Very similar to Freedom. Easy to get around

-Sabor guacamole and margaritas are amazing. My new favorite snack and drinks on board

Lows

-poor casino lay out with limited new slots

-missed coco cay

-they could do a better job at cleaning up glasses laying around ship

I completed another class off my bucket list. All I have left is the Quantum class. Not sure when that will happen, as those ships aren't based in Florida. Hopefully next up will be Harmony next year. The Oasis class is still my favorite.

I am cheating on Royal Caribbean this summer and heading out on NCL's Escape.

If you have any questions about Navigator let me know and I will do my best to answer.

Thanks for the report. Our next cruise is on Navigator; nice to hear about the great service you had.

One question for you: Do you know if they have the area in the MDR for Diamond (and above) for breakfast on Navigator?

I believe it was originally on ships without a DL, but I think some ships with a DL are doing it and we've always had great service.

Thanks!

No Freestyle machines on Navigator.

We did have a separate area for Diamonds and above in the MDR for breakfast.

We sailed in Nov. 2015 over Thanksgiving.

Thanks! Nice to know about the Diamond area for breakfast, and now I won't be tempted to get a soda package since they don't have Freestyle machines. :D

No freestyle machines, but there is an open area in the windjammer where you can walk up and fill up your soda cup. The waiters say it's ok to do.

Also, I forgot to mention that the Ice show was really good and a must see.

Thanks for the update. I was curious if those soda machines were still there. Those are the only guest soda machines (other than Freestyle) I've ever seen on a Royal ship.

My wife will be happy to hear about this. Self serve in the Windjammer huh?

She and one of our daughters will have the pop package, so this will be a very convenient way to get pop while hanging out on the pool deck.

I recall seeing them on the starboard side, in the drink station located between the forward and aft portion of Windjammer.

We were also on that cruise and had an enjoyable time even without being able to go to Coco Cay. The crew was friendly and service was good. I agree that the casino layout could be better, but all the dealers (with the exception of one) were very nice and fun, especially at the craps table.

We did decide that 3 day cruises are just too short for us since we have to fly to the ports so only 4 nights or longer for us. :)

I am going to be on the NOS on 03/19/16. Can anyone guide me to finding how to get involved in the ROLL CALL for that cruise? Thank you!

Here is the link to the roll call board.

My family is on that sailing as well. See you in 19 days!

Even if I walked to the port, 3 days is to short.

Was George from Serbia the "Sanitize Guy" back on the Navigator? He was there in 2013 and taught my daughter how to dance the cha cha. He was a dance instructor in Serbia and put on a great sanitize show in the Wind Jammer every day.
