DZalumni Posted March 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Can anyone tell me if Aqua Class still get the free bottle of Champagne upon check in? And does anyone know is it two bottles of water replaced daily or one large bottle upon embarkation?
az_tchr Posted March 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Yes to the sparkling wine. You get one big bottle of water on arrival. We simply bring a case on board if we do not have a drink package. There are water bottle filling stations on board. All water on board is reverse osmosis purified anyway.
Desertbelle Posted March 10, 2016 #3 Share Posted March 10, 2016 You can ask your steward to bring you a pitcher of ice water daily/twice daily for drinking. Cruise ships have very good tap water. We bring a water bottle to refill for taking ice water outside of our cabin.
CaroleSS Posted March 10, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Not sure if you knew, but if you don't want/like the sparkling wine in the room, you can bring it with you to dinner and get a $35 credit toward the purchase of another bottle of wine. We had the beverage package, so the sparking wine was free, so we exchanged the bottle in our room for a bottle of something we wanted to try that didn't come by the glass. Rare keesar Posted March 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2016 Just got off Eclipse this past Sunday, Champagne was on ice and two small bottles of water were in the room, no refills on water.:( Same on the Reflection. Two 16.9 ounce bottles of water in the room at no charge. Celebrity Vintages sparkling wine was also waiting for us. There were 3 pieces of fruit which were replenished daily. Northern Aurora Posted March 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Despite being a long standing perk from the very introduction of Aqua Class the daily delivery of bottled water has been discontinued. While some Aqua passengers are reporting one large bottle of water others are reporting two small (i.e. less than 16 ounce) bottles. When I e-mailed Celebrity regarding this change the reply I received was that the "welcome" water was "modern luxury." The elimination of this perk certainly has diminished the value of Aqua for us. Now if you could use it as a credit toward a specialty dinner, that would be great. Laura
lovescarborough Posted March 11, 2016 #10 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Not sure this is always the case. On one cruise we asked for it to be changed for white wine and this was done. On the next cruise we were told it was not possible to change it.
Rare ghstudio Posted March 11, 2016 #11 Share Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) Three ways to possibly exchange the bubbly for something more to your liking. 1) ask your room steward if they can change it..probably they will decline. 2) ask the wine steward at dinner if you can exchange it for something more drinkable...they have always told us to bring it with us the next night and they would give us a credit of $28 towards another bottle of wine. (remember they are doing you a favor...they aren't really supposed to do this). 3) ask guest services if they can exchange it for you (expect a no).
