CroNich Posted March 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Hi, I was just wondering where you go to find out when there are up coming tours/ship inspections in Sydney. I went on one in the Pearl in 2013 and it was very enjoyable.

cruisine21 Posted March 13, 2016 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2016 Was there a charge ?They used to be free . There is a travel agent near White Bay that does them. The cost is $99 including a 2 course lunch. The cost is refundable against your next cruise booking with that agent to use within 12 months from the inspection date. They provide complimentary transport to and from the Central Coast.
The_Big_M Posted March 14, 2016 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2016 Was there a charge ?They used to be free . The cruise line doesn't charge for them. However, if free the TA would both be swamped by people wanting to do it, plus it does take some time/admin so makes sense for them to charge. Rare MicCanberra Posted March 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted March 14, 2016 Some TAs offer the inspections as a perk for loyalty.
NSWP Posted March 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted March 14, 2016 And with the ships locally sailing full most of the time, the cruise lines don't need to do many promos these days. The travel agents will always get on for a 'look and see' though. Sometimes doing a little sector, e.g. Sydney - Brisbane or Sydney- Adelaide, dependent on cabin availability and/or their affiliation with the particular cruise line.
