Another Parent Not Accepting Responsibility For Their Own Actions

Perhaps I missed something but why has this story been resurrected - it happened over a year ago and was reported on the boards at the time :confused:

 

edited to say I understand now as it looks as if the parent has 'just' taken out a lawsuit.

This happened last year. The child walked away from mom and she announced it to staff. At the time they did not ever have a staff member watching the pools. The child was not just swimming without supervision, the parents did not know where he was. Very sad. He was transferred to a hospital I worked at for years.

Accidents will happen and as such this incident occurred, children can be very quick to harm. However, if fault is to be given, it must lie with the parents and not the cruiseline. It is a money grab, and may well never see court.:(
