Dress for Horizon Court or Carib Cafe

What exactly is the dress code for either the Horizon Court or Carib Cafe for lunch, and for dinner. Are shorts permitted for either meal?

I am going to say that there doesn't seem to be a dress code for either!! So I guess you can do whatever is comfortable for you. Believe me, If I am wrong, we w ill hear about it straight away!!

If you are coming from the pool area, you will need to wear a cover-up (or t-shirt w/swim trunks for men). Otherwise casual attire is fine in the Horizon Court.

They have very polite signs posted at the entrances, reminding you that you are not to wear pool attire (bathing suits) in the Horizon Court. Everything else seemed like a go.

 

It's actually very funny to see the difference in attitudes from the first afternoon to the last morning in the Horizon Court - "confusion and hunger" to "depression and one last 'free' meal."

Most people adhered to the "no beach attire" but its hard to do sometimes. On the Lido deck, that's is a straight shot thru Horizon Court to the aft elevators.

 

Personally, I don't mind seeing people walk thru that area to head to the pools, tank tops, etc. That being said, it wasn't quite right to walk thru the area in bikinis or Speedos. Just my opinion tho.

 

When I re-read that, it doesn't make sense, but I guess I would just hope people would be polite, since the people going between the buffet and tables have to cross the main pathway thru the area.

On the Star in Alaska last year, there wasn't any sort of code. We would head in there after swimming late at night with just shirts on, and wet swimsuits, and they didnt care at all as long as we sat on towels.

Shoes and cover-up required. Cover-up can be a shirt, t-shirt, etc.

Holy cow, it was me that asked this question years ago. Gosh, I wish I was as close to a cruise now, as I was then.

On the Ruby a couple weeks ago we saw people in the dining area in any attire - towels wrapped around bathing suits, bikini tops with a wrap, etc. they just weren't allowed to enter the food line area without a cover up.

 

We saw the maître d and the hand sanitizer guard both telling people they couldn't enter. We also saw the maître d totally ignore those with just towel wraps in the dining area.

If you have a damp bathing suit I would bring the food to the outside tables which have plastic chairs, and not wet down the padded ones in the Horizon Ct. itself. Just being polite to others. Also, there is the grill and pizza by the pool if you have wet suits.

no he will not be going with a wet bathing suit. He wears them as short. I was told men can't wear bathing suit shorts even if they are dry

Since they allow people in their bathrobes, I say anything goes!

Shorts are fine for both Horizon and Café Caribe. :)
