Does anyone know what is hanging over the side of the ship, midships between the life boats and tenders? (First two pictures are taken from this video)

 

 

It was the same on both sides of the ship:

Does anyone know what is hanging over the side of the ship, midships between the life boats and tenders? (First two pictures are taken from this video)

I've no idea, but the third shot in this post provides a clearer picture. It seems to be located more or less above the gangplank, but as the K'dam has them deployed on both sides of the ship, I'd rule out any connection.
